It seems to me, the American's seem to be firing more and more on friendly targets. What the hell is going on? Are they aware that they have allies and that we are fighting along side them, or do the American servicemen and women just shoot at anything that seems to move?

As she was probably the most popular royal of the 20th century why isn't there a public statue of her yet?
The one at Althorpe is not a public one!

"The straightforward facts are Madeleine was taken from her bed on May 3 and she is still missing."

Oh well, if it is a fact then I guess I am wrong about the McCanns, they are completely innocent afterall. Did I miss something in the investigation? When did her abduction become a "fact"?

And while I am here I may aswell give you all the latest update with regards to the fitness blog. you will all be pleased to know that Gerry and Kate went for their run today...and they finished by running up a steep hill.

I know the gevernment accounts an official recollection of the events that happened on that day. However, it seems more and more I see "9/11 Conspiracy" or "America as Fascists" as popular internet search topics. No one can come to a concensus of what really happened that day. What's the real scoop? Are we being terrorized by our own government, or are these well-backed stories of deception a complete hoax?

Whatever happened that day was truly tragic, and my heart gos out to anyone who lost loved ones in the world trade center. Just put emotion aside for a second, though, and think to yourself "Are we really fighting the right enemy?" Infact, I think we can all answer that one right.

... hired by the fund?

After all, sueing an organisation is a civil matter. It is something that Gerry and Kate are pursuing to protect their character and is not related to the 'search' for Madeleine.

As such, I would assume that the legal advice they have received is being paid for out of their own pockets, or that they will be reimbursing to the fund, the equivalent cost for receiving said advice on launching libel action.

If they had anything to do with this they would try to keep things quiet. Anyway, dont you think this should clear any doubts

Several weeks ago it was found that Australian Opposition leader Kevin Rudd went to the strip club in 2003(spending tax payers money!). People are saying that is shows that he is only human and more in touch with the general public. If John Howard was found to have done this, there most likely would have been some sort of parliamentary enquiry and he probably would have lost the job.

This is the same with the Andrew Johns thing. He is still seen as some sort of a hero. If he was a “lower” player he would probably be fired.

What do others think?

Guardian - 24th August

"The parents of missing Madeleine McCann will not take legal action over a series of alleged smears against them in the Portuguese media, a family spokeswoman has said."

"Kate and Gerry McCann's spokeswoman Justine McGuinness stated the pair were not considering legal action against Ms Felgueiras.

She said: "Kate and Gerry are not planning to sue anyone. They are focused on finding Madeleine."

Guardian - 31st August

"The parents of missing Madeleine McCann are to launch a libel action against a Portuguese newspaper which said police believe they killed their daughter."

--------------

Sorry Madeleine, apparently the focus is no longer on finding you (as Justine clearly stated just a week ago) ........ your parents are a disgrace.

* I will make this prediction though, contrary to what they are saying and what all the papers are saying today, I bet they won't actually go through with the action. You'll see .....

How on earth can this case be heard?

There is no proof that Maddy is alive or dead. And even if she was dead (pray to God she is not) the only way they could defend themselves is to catch the killer.

(Its a bit like the old joke - "Bet you £100 that I will die today" "Okay - If your right, how do I give you the money?")

All the news articles I've read say the guy tapped his toe and waved his hand
I know it's supposed to be a gesture for lewd activity, but it's nothing concrete to suggest illegal activity.

So what exactly did he do that was illegal?

I want to send my congratulations to PETA, ASPCA, and other alphabet soup organizations for crushing the greatest threat to animals in the U.S. -- dog fighting. Now that they have some time on their hands, should they try to stop the slaughter of innocent ducks, geese, quail, fish, deer, and bears at the hands of barbarians better known as hunters and sportfishermen??

If they shouldn't, why not? How are they different? Are dogs better than the aforementioned animals? (Looking for honest discussion. No sarcastic or idiotic answers please)
