Several weeks ago it was found that Australian Opposition leader Kevin Rudd went to the strip club in 2003(spending tax payers money!). People are saying that is shows that he is only human and more in touch with the general public. If John Howard was found to have done this, there most likely would have been some sort of parliamentary enquiry and he probably would have lost the job.

This is the same with the Andrew Johns thing. He is still seen as some sort of a hero. If he was a “lower” player he would probably be fired.

What do others think?

I agree with you, John Howard would have probably been asked to stand down, the Rudd supporters wouldn't have said Mr Howard was 'only human'!
As for Andrew Johns I think he will always be known as probably the best player ever but you'd have to think his reputation would be 'slightly' tarnished now!!!
Everyone said he was brave coming out with the admission but I don't think he would have said anything if he hadn't been caught with the ecstasy tablet!
If he was a lower player, he would have been fired.

Mate, Have you ever been into a strip club a beer is 2 dollars a schooner and free entry. In the mug slinging as it always does happen before any election there has never been any mention of spending tax payers money in the press. John Howard has been the only Prime Minister in Australians very short history. To be summoned to court first over the people overboard then he had to attend court again over AWB. Kevin Rudd five years ago wasn't the opposition leader also think how many schooners can you down with two mates before getting pissed. You only need to work out the math at 2 dollars a schooner between three blokes, I doubt they would have spent more than $ 60 bucks between them. So do you think Kevin Rudd could ever down ten schooners @ 2 dollars a pop I think not nor would any one else. Down three long necks = 6 schooners and tell me if how much you would remember. John Howard's mud slingers who are paid wages with tax payers money better than you , I or any other Aussie gets a week to only find something on the opposition leader of having a drink with two mates in a club almost five years ago in the US, which no one would of given two hoot's about. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to keep there jobs. As for Andrew Johns, he's not a hero just a ekky freak it's pity he wasn't busted in Bali where they truly know how to fully deal with all druggies.

John Howard is the Prime Minister of our country and Rudd wasn't even the opposition leader at the time so there is the difference..
Also with Andrew Johns he was the captain of Australia and something should done but coming from WA I know that it is hard when you try to knock sport stars of their pedestal because someone always wants to catch them and put them back up.

I thought I was a swinger (politically)! Rudd is a better party swinger and worth my vote.
