She was stripped of her title and being called HRH (Her Royal Highness) by the Queen. So there's not likely to be a statue on public property anyway. I'd hate to have to deal with Queen Elizabeth every day of my life. She even looks mean.

I dont think Diana was the most popular Royal of the 20th century,Princess Grace was.And as for a statue, i dont think it is a good idea because teenagers on A.S.B.O's will probably graffiti and urinate on it which nobody bar Camilla Parker Horse wants to see.

She was divorced from Prince Charles. I don't think the royal family would like seeing a statue of Diana being put up - especially as the Prince is now married to Camilla. :-/

Because there are better things to do with public money than to service idolotry. I'm sure Diana would have rather money went victims of AIDS or land mines than worshipping her.

Beacause although as a sweet, young aristocrat she was used as marriage fodder for a dysfunctional royal family, she then eclipsed even that lot by turning into a mentally unstable, self-pitying, self harming, bulimic, attention seeking, promiscuous, 2nd rate actress who along with her fat slag mate Fergie would tip off the press where she would be then whine about privacy.

She was just a spoilt woman who utilised her charms for gain, was made rich by pubic money and she was never royal and deserves no statue.
