When major news organizations beg for average people to send in videos of an event like they are now regarding the bridge collapse. Do they pay money? I'm talking like Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and these big guys. Not the National Enquirer type rags.

Doesn't God choose when we die, so isn't it not going to make a difference?

I have always thought death by drowning would be so painful. My heart goes out to the families. Why would they let heavy traffic continue to drive on a bridge under construction?

I get fed up with reading "leave them at home"! I agree if it is your honeymoon - even I would leave them at home for that. But you can take your children on holiday and still have a wonderful time. I love watching my girls in the disco, and when I want to do something, I put them in the club. Whats wrong with a bit of give and take?

Re: Concert held for Madeleine on Sunday in which organisers stated they hoped to raise £35,000.

'Concert organiser Toni Perduno, of Melton, said: "Ticket sales have been going very well."'

Few days later .... in the Leicester Mercury:

"More than 80 people paid between £10 and £15, with children allowed in for free, to enjoy more than eight hours of music."

80 people ....... interesting their idea of ticket sales going well LOL. I havent see an exaggerated quote like this well since Gerry himself last opened his mouth.

Since 1870, nearly 3 centuries after the first colonial settlements. Christmas has been a national holiday. Usually the complaint was about public mischief or pagan origins. Recently christmas received a few more enemies from the religious/non-religious rivals and commercialism. Individually, christmas persisted but as it is challenged on church/state separation issues and secular commercial interest-it now seems christmas may at the very least lose it's social supports. The questions are: can christmas be saved? can it be returned to it's christian origins and should it be saved in it's current over-commercialized christian-devoid state? Though most of colonial american history christmas did not exist, to lose christmas now would destroy one of the last moral anchors in this society. For all the aspiring grammar teachers, please try to focus on the issue if you must answer. Those who can do ASK, those who can't....

(Maryland)
Freeman, who is being held without bail, was charged with murder under a state law that allows murder prosecutions of those who cause the death of a fetus that may have been able to survive outside the womb. The stillborn fetus found in the vanity was determined to be about 26 weeks old. Investigators still need to figure out how old the others were when they died, when they died, and whether Freeman or someone else was responsible for the deaths. The timing is critical. If the pre-term infants were too young to be considered viable outside the womb, Freeman can't be charged with murder. And if they died before Maryland passed its 2005 fetal homicide law, it may not be a crime even if they were old enough to live outside the womb and Freeman caused their deaths. The fetal homicide law was designed to penalize those who kill a pregnant woman or her viable fetus, but it includes a provision shielding pregnant women from prosecution for actions that result in the death of t

once again, a black man (mike vick) gets in trouble and good ole al comes slithering out from under his rock and is babbling on with the "innocent until proven guilty" crap. yet this is the same man who practically convicted the three duke lacrosse boys himself before the trial even began.

he's also the same guy who applauded and encouraged the vigilance of the protesters who sent death threats to the coach, professors, and the three boys at duke.

and worst of all, after the three boys were found innocent, al STILL hasn't apologized to them.

i guess to al, if you're white, you're guilty even if proven innocent. but if you're black, you're innocent even if proven guilty.

8 of my 9 children have white mothers. I have insisted that they are black since they will have the privilege of real affirmative action--extra traffic stops-longer jail terms--lower wages etc.(white people never ask for their fair share of our woes :) They demand our seats at universities but not our seats on death row--lol. In florida when they added interracial to the census black people complained that it was a plot to dilute our political representation. Hispanics actually can choose black or white. Everyone has come here and tried to pass themselves off as anglo---jews--hispanics--italians--keep clorox in business with all this fake blond hair(which isn't even an english trait but a viking one, they used to rape their wives now most white people try to prove a viking heritage. The sad irony is that most african americans are anglo, we're stuck with anglo names and watered down african features. Our ancestors were actually slaveholders. So we pretend that we are not white
