I get fed up with reading "leave them at home"! I agree if it is your honeymoon - even I would leave them at home for that. But you can take your children on holiday and still have a wonderful time. I love watching my girls in the disco, and when I want to do something, I put them in the club. Whats wrong with a bit of give and take?

Can't imagine a holiday without my sonshine boy!
Hes all of five but such fun fun fun at the beach, at a hillside resort & especially at a farm weekend getaway. Before he came along, my husband & i used to trek & have plenty of weekend getaways which we enjoyed thoroughly. But now, with him along, its just gotten better. Honest. I used to think we couldn't trek with him, but we can & we do. We just don't take steep inclines & his delight in every single tiny thing is pure joy to me. Babyshambles, we've noticed & enjoy stuff we didn't before just 'cos of him. Stuff like the fact that if you wade thru' icy waters you can feel the fish tickle your toes! Um...i do tend to ramble when i start on him...!
You're a great Mum & your 2 little ladies are lucky to have you...xx

I have had four children and have always taken them with me on holiday. However, my family are all different with different tastes and wishes and it can be difficult to fit everybody's idea of a holiday in.
My husband is a tourist buff. He loves doing all the touristy things. He needs a holiday to recover. It's all go for him. I want to be left at home, to do what I want to do. I want to read, laze and then do a bit of the touristy stuff. My kids want to swim, beach and do activities.
We try to do something for everybody every day. And yes, I have left them at the kids club when my husband wanted to do touristy things the kids would have been bored with.
It's different strokes for different folks.

I agree and with children you can have a lot of fun as well. Children can really make your holiday good providing you don't neglect them like the McCanns did.

we go on holiday every year and have a fantastic time with our kids and wouldn`t even consider leaving them at home, we spend a few days relaxing by the pool and beach while the kids play and a few days where the kids choose what we do like going to the water parks, zoo, etc. We go out every night together to eat and our kids have been made more than welcome wherever we`ve been.

We dont even use the clubs. We keep ours with us at all times. Morning noon and night, we do things during the day that she will like. Zoos, Aquariums beeches anything like that. Im not totally sure about the clubs they can go to. But hey, if your having a family holiday, no reason not to stick together. Mick

agree with you, but try dancing with the kids, they hate it and then you will always have something to use to make them behave.
