The usual August early cloud giving way to blue sky afternoons so I can usually see the steaming volcano
fifty miles eastward; seventy degree air at sea level
is melting more glacial ice even though the mountain
rises well past ten thousand feet. The tectonic plate
I'm living on is being subducted but portions might
vomit up a volcanic throat as red hot lava someday.

I'm in the Ozark Mountains and we just had out first 90 degree temp. today and I hate hot weather.
Now the "Candlelight service for Elvis Presley" is always held in August, we don't know the word hot until you get there, and the humidity is as high as the temp.
There are a lot of Murders in Memphis between the Months of July and August, one reason is the heat and humidity and they will not turn on the air-conditions on in their Cadillac's.

Yeah, I remember the summers were so hot in Michigan...I live in the south now and I find living in the south more comfortable than living in Michigan! I don't get it either cause you'd think that the north would be cooler.
It's around 90 where I'm at.

It's only in the high 80's today and there's a cloud cover-so it's not as hot as it could be. Come on clouds. This is Southern California by the way.
