8 of my 9 children have white mothers. I have insisted that they are black since they will have the privilege of real affirmative action--extra traffic stops-longer jail terms--lower wages etc.(white people never ask for their fair share of our woes :) They demand our seats at universities but not our seats on death row--lol. In florida when they added interracial to the census black people complained that it was a plot to dilute our political representation. Hispanics actually can choose black or white. Everyone has come here and tried to pass themselves off as anglo---jews--hispanics--italians--keep clorox in business with all this fake blond hair(which isn't even an english trait but a viking one, they used to rape their wives now most white people try to prove a viking heritage. The sad irony is that most african americans are anglo, we're stuck with anglo names and watered down african features. Our ancestors were actually slaveholders. So we pretend that we are not white

the 1 drop rule was the rule but now so many white women are having black children that they want us to break with tradition and let our beautiful babies claim their white ancestry. Will the effects of the WHITE MOMMA BOOM change how race is viewed.

oh and to save some of you the time of parroting the same racist bits about how the last 4centuries are just part of black peoples imagination. Please visit human rights watch website. They can explain that everyone else in the world doesn't play blame the victim for how black people are treated here. They don't consider lynching and burnings pity parties etc. The entire planet considers it a gross human rights scandal, the way blacks are jailed and denied services in the u.s. Maybe if whites stop playing the victim, some solutions could materialize.

What part of africa are african americans from: All of it--- what happened when the white people needed this country built for free, they forced us to come here and 40M died on the journey. Then to prevent escape they would mixmatch ethnic groups-- sell the children and breed blacks in no particular order. The same way american eliminates the need to say german or irish. African eliminates the need to say nubian or egyptian. Plus all the white groups that make up the american part, plus being part cherokee myself. First of all, Hispanics can choose White, Black, or Mixed Race because Hispanic is NOT a race. It is an ethinicity. We are united by a Language not by skin color. There are white Hispanics, Black Hispanics (ever heard of Afro-Cubans?) and of course, mixed race Hispanics (for example those who are a mix of the european settlers & the indigenous).
Also, your kids are black. I believe on those questionnaire things (or whatever they're called) it says African AMERICAN. Many African-Americans have been mixed with white, but they're still African-Americans. So checking that race box as Caucasian will just make you seem like you're trying to be white and ignoring what you really are.
Yes, your kids are mixed with white, but they're black too. And many times, even if the kid's half-white, they still have to check the box with their minority race.
However, a lot of times there's an Other box, where many check if they're mixed race. So if it bothers you that much, check the Other box for your children instead of lying.

p.s. I re-read this and realized your full of $#!t. Your people were slaves back in the 1800's. Sitting around and sulking about how evil white people are & blaming racism for everytihng that goes wrong isn't gonna get you anywhere. How do you digest your food with all that hatred inside of you? If you have 9 children, how do you have time for all this stuff? Shouldnt you be helping to change a diaper or picking somebody up from school? When you get older and show up with high blood pressure and ulcers, you will know why. And for God's sake stop whining. You apparently perceive the black race as superior in all things. Why then is the African Continent the poorest and most backward place on earth?
40M were brought here? On those little ships which didn't even have motors?
The Preacher who conducted my marriage ceremony was of the Caucasian race and he was born in Africa and lived there the first 38 years of his life before coming to the U.S. to become a citizen. What hyphenated designation would you place on him?
You seem quite consumed/obsessed with peoples races.

This may be the lamest "question" I have ever read on Y!A.

I know people who were born in Africa and are certainly white. One in Tunisia, and one in South Africa. And most Egyptians I know are not black.

I think to most people, the term "African American" means someone born in the US of black African ancestry.

i'm really not sure what your question is.

why do you have so many kids? are you able to support them, raise them so that they know right from wrong and live as good citizens.

unlike many here, i'm not racist. I'm actually green, and will be for 6 more months before I get to be civilian again. But I just don't want to see your kids in jail, on drugs, committing crimes or stuff like that.
