If so, why are they barely helping the ACTUAL victims with only 20 dollars per survivor. Pathetic. Would your country still exist if the holocaust didn't happen? THESE PEOPLE WENT THROUGH THE HOLOCAUST! You only talk about it.

I've heard members in the Taliban had been arguing as to what they want (money, militants, South Korea pulled out, etc.), but don't they want militants now? Who is holding the militants? I wasn't aware that the South Koreans were holding hostages...
The South Korean government has asked for US help recently.. How is the US going to help?
Why wasn't the US helping before? Personally, I think the US sometimes tries to become involved in a lot of things, thinking that we are helping others countries and liberating the world, but 23 lives (now 21) are at stake, and I felt like the US had the power to help the South Korean government before...
Also, it wasn't a big part of the news..I knew that the US was trying not to become involved... what do you think about the media not shedding light onto this tragedy? (I know they did to some extent, but to me, it didn't seem like a big deal..Like it was kind of a small story and no one really knew about it or cared)

Honestly....while I applaude the fact that the old lady finished...whats the point...isnt it just a waste of money to finish at 94? I mean is she really going to use the degree or just sit at home and look at it? I dont mean to sound hatefull or rude, but i am just curious!

The police want to take dna for dropping litter & other minor offences.
I think this is a step too far as the information is not kept private & will be available to the whole of europe.
This will result in the ability to discriminate against anyone on their dna profile.
This information will be abused!
What do you think?

I am sickened to say that the British Transport Police have now been instructed to enforce the smoking ban in front of London Bridge station also. Not just inside but now the surrounding area. This is really beginning to piss people off now.

Last night while in the Pub on the station we decided to take some direct action as a form of protest and I want to know what is our position here?

The BTP PCSO informed us that it is a crime against the railways act to smoke in front of the station. So we decided that it is our duty to report crime where we see it. Therefore, every 15 mins we dialed 999 and reported that people were smoking in that area (it’s a very common area for people to smoke as it is outside the main station and there are hundreds of people an hour going though). Each time it was different people so it was a new crime?

Are we doing anything wrong here? Last night was a bit of fun. Next week it will be a much more organized fight back.

Yet has time to do several magazine interviews for the glossies.

Or is this her way of 'working through the pain'.

Sorry but I have NO sympathy for Kate whatsoever.

It is well documented the fact she had a nanny to help her at home, even though she was hardly working herself at the time (how many parents can afford hired help apart from when its absolutely necessary like they need to return to work?)

She then abandoned her children on holidays.

After Maddy went missing, she then abandoned the twins in the creche. The very same place where they allegedly never wanted to leave the kids because they dont like leaving them in the hands of strangers.

This to me is a well established pattern of her either struggling to cope with her children or certainly at the least her not paying as much attention to her children as necessary. I wonder if she was 'forced' into the family situation by Gerry. We all know that Gerry is a domineering a hole.

How sad to see a city left to it's own devices to deal with such a catastrophe, although it seems to be doing a superhuman job. However, it is up to the National Guard to help in these situations, but they are "building infrastructure" in Iraq. When will our tax money for the National Guard help our own people again, especially with our own infrastructure collapsing?

In Minneapolis bridge collapses, 60 hurt, 9 died, many more body's still in there cars in water.... Beside being Sad, I'm Mad!, Why wasn't this bridge replaced with new safer bridge? Why are schools starting here in USA with no Ac or in bad repair? Why are the communities that haven't been rebuild in new Orleans? or why wasn't the dams replaced there before they were hit with hurricane Katrina? Why wasn't there quicker response for the many that didn't get out in time? Then I think of the billions of dollars that are sent over sea's for country's to rebuild their bridges their roads, their dams & building their schools...

How many more would like to see our Government and people running for Government answers to that?

From the "Food for Thought" Department:

Just a reminder that Al-Qaeda, in a recent statement, declared it was planning "an attack somewhere in the United States that will make 911 pale in comparison".

We know for a fact that a plot to carry out a large-scale terror attack against the United States in the near future is being directed by Osama bin Laden and other top al Qaeda members.

It could be said that this disaster in Minnesota certainly comes close to fitting that description.

Coincidence or threat fulfilled?

from todays blog.

"Another trip to the airport this morning to pick up our campaign manager. Kate did a series of interviews for womens magazines and the Sunday newspapers which took most of the afternoon. Kates parents, who we visit regularly at home, also arrived and the twins were very happy to see them. They will be staying with us for a week.

We have had some new posters designed of Madeleine, in Portuguese and Spanish, which I have been printing out to distribute locally. I also did some filming to camera which we might use on the website and for future events."

1) I hope they have got some discount with easyjet or someone, the amount of times they fly everyone in and out of the Algarve (just so long as its spent wisely huh!). I didnt realise the fund was also called 'Keep the entire McCann on one big summer holiday at the publics expense LTD'

2) What has Kate got to add that we don't know already. Perhaps yet another denial from her that they were bad parents?

I sometimes like to read about some of the conspiracy stories that are out there, but last night I heard about the year 2012.
They said that the world is supposed to come to an end. So now ever since I heard this I have been thinking. I read a little about it, but decided not to freak myself out anymore than I already was.
Has anybody else heard about this????
Is anyone else kind of worried??????
