I for one do not accept Mattel Chairman's apology for their recalled toys. Lead paint has been banned in Canada for many years. According to Mattel's Annual Report, safety is assured. I am appauled beyond belief at the severe repercussions Mattel's lack of quality control has had on the lives of our precious children. I would ask all who read this to boycott Mattel for life. Anything short of this is absolving them from the total irresponsibility they have shown in their disregard of selling toys under the name of a North American country which does not come close to meeting the saftey regulations of both Canada and the U.S. We families have bought their products for years, trusting that they will always guard the lives of our children. Quality control and safety testing should be their number one concern, and they have failed miserably. I would welcome feedback from any Canadian lawyer who would provide pro bono legal advice as to how to organize a Canadian class action suit.

I myself agree that Mattel should have done better to make sure that this toys were safe for our children. I mean for them to say that the parents should take more responibility and do our part to make sure that the toys our chldren are playing with are safe is unexceptible. We as parents have enough to do just raising our kids. I'm not goning to have every toy I but tested for lead or some other substance.
I think someone should be held accountable for this and I'm willing to do what it takes to make that happen.
I'm on board. I think the parents should come together to do something to make sure that this does'nt happen again.

Mattel, along with many huge giants of the manufacturing industry started moving into the third world countries many years ago. The auto industry followed suit, they still are threatening the moves with Ford still telling the public about Mexico, where the wages are $6.00 an hour and no insurances packages.

It now looks like these big corporate industries are starting to pay for their move with China picking up the tabs, Mexico has been on that list with their imported foods for a long time. They just don't seem to have the intelligence to be able to keep the products they produce with in a safety guideline and their products fall shot of limitations. They continue everyday to send poor quality products to the U.S.
Now China is trying to poison the U.S. with it's second hand products that were once made here. These companies are now paying for there foolishness and their arrogance.

Ask your local barrister's office. I belive you have to retain one first and they will intern seek a judge who will grant or deny class action status to your claim. DO SO QUICKLY. If you are not a primary listed on the original suit awarded class action, you can only join the suit. This means a substancially reduced reward amount for damages.

I hope this helps.

You essentially can't.

Matel recalled as soon as the problem was discovered. They did thier part.

Get a life. Quit tying to sue over everything. The world does not owe you a free ride.

At this point no harm to children or anyone else has been discovered. An attorney would say, thus far you don't have a case.

I think it's better to sue the chinese manufacturer. Mattke should've done a better job of quality control over their manfacturer.
