Its been 2 years since the tragedy that has befallen the Gulf Coast. The rebuilding process has been slow from Washington due to both red tape and its focus on Iraq. I want to hear your opinons and comments from residents of the areas hit by Katrina and those who are angry with the response from Washington.

I am an American before you start jumping to wild conclusions like im some kind of islamic extremist, hell bent on global domination.
It is a fact that a professional pilot would have great difficulty steering a Boeing commercial airliner into the towers at that speed at that angle of approach. So how could these terrorists who tooks lessons in a tutor pilot no larger than a yacht somehow steer a commercial airliner perfectly into a tower in a very built up area? On top of all the rubble and the debris the US somehow found spanking new clean copies of the terrorists.... More than 20 suspects were arrested in less than 24 hours after the attack and why was Bin Laden's family flown out of America first class when every single american airport was on lockdown? Also, would america be where it is today without 911? I doubt it very much. I actually feel sorry for muslims who are being mistreated all around the world due to this 911 fantasy. Bush is the one who needs to be punished.

Yes it's a tragedy and my heart does go out to them, but isn't constant worldwide coverage about one girl belittling all the thousands of other children that have been abducted or killed?
Yes it's a warning about remembering safety while on holiday but it was out of their own stupidity that this happened in the first place, and after all this time It seems they are starting to milk it for all it's worth.
Millions of parents have to go through this and think it is very inconsiderate to give this case so much attention and so much to the McCanns when so many others have absolutely no help whatsoever.
Sorry if I'm sounding a bit harsh but I do feel very strongly about this.

I am a Bi polar suffer myself and admit that parenting can be a struggle, especially on your own. Having recently separated from my husband I panic about the prospect of raising my children on my own.
More and more 'celebrities' are comming out as sufferers, but also being shown in a negative light with regards to their parenting. It appears money cannot buy stability, so what about those folk who are your average joe?
I consider myself to be a pretty reasonable parent, but also recognise how vunerable both myself and children can become if I become unwell and find the critisism particularly hard to take.
I can only speak for myself when I relate it to my rocky childhood and the onset of post natal depression.
How can we become more tolerant or understanding?
Anyone with similar experiences or good advice would be greatly recieved
Cheers

Farrah Shoukry of Miami is suing Mattel for 5 million dollars on the recalled toys containing lead from China. She saying it is not about the money, but she is suing anyway. She said her daughter has put some of the toy pieces in her mouth, but her daughter is not sick. Is that a frivolous law suit or what? Check the news video.

This much loved toy has never been spotted in any of the photos released of Madeleine.

Why? Is it because we're getting the same stock photos or is it because she preferred her blanket?

The only pic I've seen with anything resembling cuddle cat is this one, halfway down the page and hanging on the wall :

Only thing is - it's a different cat...

This regarding my theory that with every lie there is a kernel (thanks Faith) of truth.

What are Gerry and Kate most famous for? Running up to the top of cliff (in 16 minutes I believe now, I will have to verify this with the timekeepers). Its made regular appearances in the their blog, particularly early on.

What if the Kernal of truth is the top of the cliff? What if they are so keen to go up there all the time because its the last time they saw Madeleine. I mean cliffs overlook the sea don't they??

How do you like them apples? LOL.

But in all seriousness, perhaps there is a 'kernel' of truth to this.

Good Morning!! Many of us have children and of course have gone through the toddler stage. I remember several months ago thinking it was odd that my then 3 year old was awfully quite while I was up and about doing house work. I came upstairs from the downstairs cleaning to check on him and asking his brothers where he was and they said in his room playing. I went in and he was not in there so of course panic overtook me. My 4 other sons and I frantically searched the house and outside thinking he somehow got out which was near impossible. After about 10-15 minutes I picked up the phone and called 911. While I was talking to 911 my oldest son came and and said come see this. While still on the phone with the police I found my 3 year old sound asleep amongst my 8 year olds 115 stuffed animals that he collects. Imagine wheres waldo. He was tucked in with all of them and covered with a blanket so I didnt see him when I had checked his brothers top bunk. We all have or should have panic

on Saturday??? they were out on the 100th day of her disappearance, raising awareness still etc, etc. When they showed them on the news people were seen taking pics?? They aren't celebrities! UNBELIEVABLE! I'm no McCann fan (can't stand them) but obviously well wishers were showing their support, fair enough. But why take pics that is almost ghoulish. What are these people going to do with the pics Put them in their own family album ?

Dr Russell O'Brien and his partner Jane Tanner live there and were holidaying there.

Independent of them, since they werent in the same group, another couple happened to be holidaying there at the same time. Mr and Mrs Gorrod who happen to live just two streets away in Exeter. They are friends of the O'Briens and their hire car was recently sought by police for analysis.

And then Robert Murat, the chief suspect in the case, was in Exeter just days before both sets of family headed out to the Algarve on holidays.

I didn't realise Exeter was such a hive of activity?

It seems that the parents are the main focus now. The sooner they are locked up for neglect and fraud the better.

We can't stop the Mexicans from crossing the border so how could we stop terrorists from crossing the same border? We can't. So the terrorists obviously have the motivation to attack us, the means to enter the country, and by experience or through the internet the capability of building a bomb even if it's a small one. What are they waiting for? Or are there no terrorists? It seems to me that if they attacked us on 9/11 before we were at war, they would definitely be attacking while it was going on.

The McCanns are calling for an 'Amber Alert' in Europe based on the US 'Amber Alert' which followed the abduction and murder of the nine-year-old Amber Hagerman in 1996.

This may or may not be effective, but should we not also have a 'McCann Alert' based on the Children and Young Persons Act (It is an offence under section 1 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933 to neglect or abandon a child under the age of 16 for whom a parent or carer has responsibility)

Its important to also note that gambling is also forbidden. They also ask this question what are you going to do in your first night in the grave?? when all the people leave you?? the first night in the grave, i think it's a very important question.

Islam forbiddes the killings of innocent and to start a war unless they are attacked or occupied, just like in Palastine
