Yes it's a tragedy and my heart does go out to them, but isn't constant worldwide coverage about one girl belittling all the thousands of other children that have been abducted or killed?
Yes it's a warning about remembering safety while on holiday but it was out of their own stupidity that this happened in the first place, and after all this time It seems they are starting to milk it for all it's worth.
Millions of parents have to go through this and think it is very inconsiderate to give this case so much attention and so much to the McCanns when so many others have absolutely no help whatsoever.
Sorry if I'm sounding a bit harsh but I do feel very strongly about this.

Did you actually 'get' what I said Pama?
I sincerely doubt that other missing childrens parents would agree that the McCanns should take priority over their child and get worldwide coverage when they don't receive anything more than an article in the local paper!
Do you not find that unfair?
Yes everyone, I know they are just doing all they can to find her but shouldn't they have done all they could to look after her in the first place!
And is dragging it on like this really helping anyone? Even if she is alive (which is highly unlikely) no one would possibly come forward with her - even if they innocently found her - as they would be put through the same interrogation and suspicion as the McCanns were in the first place and would probably end up in jail!

yeah i also feel sorry for the kid (and the two kids they still have but there is no way they are paying enough attention too. poor kids, they've not only lost hteir sister, looks like they've practically lost their parents as well, off round the world and going from one photo oppertunity to another). Sure, they've lost their kid (and a serious heap of the blame for that has to be laid upon the parents) but they have to grow up and acept that their is a high chance that she is dead, and that they have two other children. But also ,the media don't help, focusing solely on the McCann kid, whilst each day another kid goes missing somewhere in the UK... and as for trust them? well, it looks like even their kids couldn't trust them to act responsibly, so personally i wouldn't trust them as far as i could throw them

I agree. There must be countless parents who feel that the loss of their children are being ignored, as they are not high profile enough, or don't fit the media bill as newsworthy. I suspect that the majority of these parents didn't leave their children unattended while they ate dinner with their friends. It's got to the stage now where I don't want to hear about it anymore, and I wish that the media would campaign as vigorously for all missing children in this country. And although I feel uncomfortable admitting it, I do find myself getting angry at the coverage, the theories and wild accusations and the whole media circus. The whole saga is becoming seriously distasteful. My dearest wish is that ALL parents of missing children have a successful outcome, including the McCanns.

I don't blame the McCanns - if my daughter went missing, I'd try anything I thought had even a million-to-one chance of getting her back. It's not even their fault they are richer and better-connected than most parents whose children disappear.
Rather, I blame the lazy news media who will run a story just because it's been plonked on their desk by a PR company, rather than go out and find some real, current news to report.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I'm sick of seeing their saintly faces being thrust at us, trying to convince us they've done nothing wrong.
At the centre of all this, there's still a little girl missing who was let down and neglected by her parents, and the media is omitting this.
I really do feel for all the missing children and their parents, but after being bombarded with Madeleine's image since day one, there needs to be an outcome soon (hopefully a happy one...). I'd be quite happy never to set eyes on Gerry and Kate McCann again - I don't know them or care for them. There's only one victim and that is Madeleine.

I totally agree with you - children go missing all the time unfortunately - sometimes they are found and others are never found yet this couple who actually left their children on their own to go out and enjoy themselves and because they have money have had more publicity and help that any previous couples I have heard about whose children have gone missing and some consequently murdered
I feel for their loss but enough is enough - people should start focusing on other parents who have children missing

Doctors are human beings too. It looks as if anybody who has a child kidnapped by a weirdo must be a low income loser to gain the sympathy of some people

Yes, I know for a fact they're only after the fame of things because if your daughter went missing you wouldn't want to give interviews everywhere you'd concentrate on finding her you'd especially not want to have an interview with Grazia magazine. I wouldn't be surprised if they killed her, bloody fools.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but saying they are milking this for all it is worth is offensive. How much is a missing child worth?
I am fed up with those people who talk as though they know the McCanns inside out and how they are feeling.

I am sick of hearing about Gerry and Kate. Not sick of hearing about Madeleine. The next news I would like to hear is that Madeleine has been found. I hope it won't be long.

A lot of people have earned a lot of points in the name of the McCanns little girl.
Don't you think they are going to remember for the rest of their lives how stupid they were without your harsh feelings I hope you never make such an awful mistake in your life.
