I am so saddened by this whole story and cannot believe they have not yet been found. Do you think they are drilling in the wrong area or think the worst has happened to them? I just cannot imagine sitting in that cold, dark, damp, waiting and wondering.

Those Utah miners have to be dead by now...and if not, they probably will be by the time the rescuers get there, now they're talking about drilling another hole and such which may take three weeks :(.

What's the deal?

....when I was a kid my Mum once left me standing outside the shop on a camp site because she's forgotten her purse. She quickly ran back to our caravan and expressly told me to not move an inch. She was about 1 minute. I did as I was told but anything could have happened to me in that minute couldn't it?

I think my mum was a bit foolish to leave me there BUT (and this is my point) my Mum is a lovely person and a great mother. She did something I wouldn't do myself and we were luck in that we got away with her silly decision without any consequences.

Are the McCanns really so dreadful as some people are saying...or, like my Mum, did nice enough people just make a sh!tty call?

And before some of you berate tham again, can you honestly say you've never made a bad judgement or silly decision? Isn't it the case that a lot of us only aren't being discussed in the way the McCann's are because we got away with something without ill effect and they sadly have to face the worst outcome

In a well-developed paragraph, compare and contrast the views of Osama Bin Laden and Imam Anwar Al-Awlaki on the reason terrorists attack. Be sure to include views on any roots of terrorism that each holds.

With the story that the BBC and ITV news heads have exchanged strong words over the McCann coverage, to what extent should the media speculate on a story where hard facts are few ? and if they dont speculate does a story go cold and fade away ? (exactly what the McCanns themselves dont want to happen)

Kate McCann said her faith in God has been shaken by the abduction of her three-year-old daughter.

If there is a god, what faith would he/she/it have in a mother that abandons her 3 young children to go out eating and drinking for the evening ?

In my way of thinking, this man has shown every sign of being a cretin not fit for human discourse, much less adulation as a sports figure. Read the article and give your opinion:

I've recently read about the 2006 Mahmoudiya incident, where Army personnel plotted a murder and rape of an Iraqi girl and her family. I've never been so upset and appalled in my life. I think that Americans that commit gross crimes against humanity in other countries should be tried in the courts of said countries. Meting out 100 year sentences, with possibility of parole in as little as 10 years is hardly justice for the survivors. I dont' consider myself to be a total pacifist, but at the same time I think that when such crimes are commited against innocent civilians, they should face the laws of the land - whatever they may be. There is no excuse for premedidated murder and disregard for human life - such as the killing of a five year old by shooting them in the head.

if we pull out of iraq, some say that there would be another attack like 9/11, some say that if that happens, it is because Bush angered them or that we were better off in iraq because we were protecting our country from attack and when we pulled out, that we let the terrorists have a free shot at out country, what do you think???
