Islamic law in Australia? Novel idea, a little short sided, but makes one think. Lets see, alcoholism, seems that several countries in the world tried to "morally" regulate the use of alcoholic beverages at one time or another. Those attempts all failed if I remember my history correctly. And the "killings of innocent" you're not referring to all the killings conducted by Hindus, Buddhists, and Daos going on in Iraq are you? And, "to start a war." Seems to me that the hijackers of 9-11 were, Allah I hope I'm right, Quakers who had a disagreement with George somebody or other.
Does all this sound a little "crazy?" If so, then now you know what I think of your question.

I think this pretty well sums it up...you want Sharia..than avoid Australia and all other western nations.....Sharia is and has been an abomination to mankind from the start... to modern societies that recognizes human rights ..it is repulsive to put it nicely....it is not wanted and will not be tolerated...

"Muslims Out of Australia!

CANBERRA AUSTRALIA : Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and his minister made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown.

Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that some radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not accept that Australia was a secular state and its laws were made by parliament. " If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law or a theocratic state, than Australia is not for you, he said on national television. "I'd be saying to the clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governing people in Australia, one the Australian law and another the Islamic law, that is false."

In the early 20th Century, the US asked this question; not regarding Islamic law, but many Christians opposed consumption of alcohol, due to the serious problems caused by its abuse.
The US passed an amendment to the Constitution, called "Prohibition." making the sale or consumption of alcohol illegal under most conditions.
The result was the astronomical rise of crime organizations in the us, and a big decline in respect for the law. Although Prohibition was repealed a few years later, organized crime has maintained its presence, and has even grown; now they deal in illegal drugs.
I don't recommend that Australia try this failed approach.

The cure is worse than the disease.

You are not much of an expert on Islam.

Islam does not forbid the killing of the innocent and it does not forbid the starting of war.

In fact Islam commands the killing of the innocent if necessary to spread the faith and the starting of wars to spread the faith of Islam by conquest

Islam also commands that women who commit adultery are to be stoned to death.

Iran recently stoned a woman to death because she was raped. The clerics who heard her case ruled that the rape was actually an act of adultery commited by her.

The thuggish Iranian clerics even made a video of her whimpering as she was being buried up to her shoulders and as those brave Muslim clerics hurled the stones at her that crushed her head.

If you look for it you can find the video on the internet like I did.

The poor woman was raped twice. First by the vicious thug who raped her and the second time by those brave Muslim clerics who said her rape was really an act of adultery and stoned her to death.

The Muslims are not nice people.

You certainly do not want to adopt their law.

If anybody thinks that Australia will ever ban gambling or alcohol they are out of touch with real Aussie's.
Also we are the country that said we will ban Sharia law and most people and I include many Muslims don't want it.
As our immigration minister said we already have laws Australian ones and don't come here if you want to change them or don't agree with them its as simple as that.

And move backwards in time.
With time everyone will have clubs on their shoulders and soon be living in caves.
With living examples in Iraq.
Where is the human intelligent?
Try and trace the faults in solving the mess out there.

maybe they should also institute that a persons hand should be cut off if they steal.

Or that a person can be put to death for Adultery.

How about requiring a tax on those who are not Muslim?
