I had to shorten the question to fit it in the headline
I see alot of people that dislike the President, and his approval rating sucks, yet whenever anyone bashes Bush on here, it seems like they get more thumbs down then others. Why is that? Are there really more people that like Bush then I think, or is the site just flooded with Christians?

dtmpulse: you make a good point, however, have "the people" had a chance to vote on if our men and women in Iraq get to come home? Our government isn't by the people and for the people, it's by the people and for the government. We vote in the officials, they make the decisions.

Bush and Christians have nothing to do with each other. It is that mentality exactly that draws the thumbs downs. Get educated before you blast something. Most people who rip Bush just say "he sucks." Really? Why? I agree with you, but give me some original thought to go with it. Tell me that you didn't vote for him, or that you even voted in the first place last election. Don't say "impeach him," when he has done nothing illegal. A lot of stupid things, but nothing impeachable. People just need to be educated if you're going to rip something or else you end up just sounding like an idiot your self.

Don't mean to call out XxXhotbabeXxX, but her response is exactly what we are all talking about.
"haha..omg i think hes controlling the ya sight lol i cant stand the guy hes a total idiot my 7 year old brother has a higher IQ then him!! lol he needs to go!! "
What is that? That's not an answer. I guess some people might take it as funny, but when you bring things up like the presidency, you are going to run into some people on here that actually care about our country. Bush isn't an idiot. He's EXTREMELY intelligent. He's doing a lot of things that make him look like an idiot because it seems like he has his own personal agenda, but even then, he couldn't make these things happen if he didn't have people who agreed with him. But when you throw out lame, shallow responses such as this, you absolutely deserve to have everyone else give you a thumbs down.

Ok so lets impeach the entire gov't. Lets not forget the dem's voted and supported this war. They do one thing and say another. Actions speak louder then words. I personally think the extremist who hate us so badly are getting such a laugh at how divided our country has become and that just juices them up. They are waiting patiently for the next president to come into office. A president who does not support the war. A president that may turn a blind eye to terrorist attacks as our previous president did. They know how divided this country is and know the majority do not support the fight against terrorism so they know they will vote in a President who is going to stop the fight. You just wait and see. Something bigger then 9/11 I fear is going to happen and it wont be until then that Americans will wish they had someone in charge who will not be a coward and will stand up to these people. Just my honest opinion.

I agree with Lisa and Pa. I did not vote for Bush, nor do I support his positions. But, there is a fundamental difference between opposing the President's positions and "Bush Bashing." And it's the latter that I'm really tired of.
It's a sad day when a democrat (and christian by the way) like myself feels the need to stick up for the likes of Bush. But it's the Bush bashers who drove me to it.

ok, I lived 2 years interior the Philippines and observed how corrupt their government is. in the event that they wiped sparkling it up then perhaps their president ought to get greater complete and does no longer ought to easily "pass alongside with it" Now shall we talk approximately our international places difficulty. while our "President is going against the norm" and against the desires of the folk the only one he's serving is himself. And so some distance as him " doing each little thing in his capability and then some to maintain" those provides you isn't yet to be considered. He promised there could be no "Lobbyists interior the white abode" and he has greater desirable than basically a number of them. He seems to be appointing czars with very shady and shameful backgrounds. he is going international extensive and apologizing for the yank human beings and our traditions. he's tripling the deficit we already had. merely wait a 12 months or 2 while inflation hits. i'm sorry i do no longer see something right here to "savor"

I don't believe christianity really has anything to do with the decisions Bush makes, unless he wants to factor it in arbitrarily. Any person in power wants to have things done their own way, and Bush has taken that concept to new heights. The problem is, he is NOT in power...our govt is OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people, and this is where Bush consistently fails. WE put him there, he is not there to do what HE wants to do, he is there to do what WE want him to do. How many people honestly believe he is doing what they want him to do? Probably none. So that's why there is controversy.

You made a lot of sense until your last sentence. There is a common myth going on that Christians only vote Republican and all the non-Christians vote Democrat.
There are a great many Christian Democrats who are disgusted with the way Bush has been "running" things, myself included.
There are also many non-Christians who vote Republican and will back Bush up in all situations.
Back to your original observation, there are simply a lot of die-hards who can not admit that the president is human and capable of human error.
Careful, stormi! Making statements about wanting to commit harm to the president can get you in a lot of legal trouble. I strongly suggest you re-word your answer. You never know, this stuff can come back to bite you later.

I think that YA has a good mix of all faiths, I think that it is a mixture of people who see it as disrespectful to say anything bad about our presidents and Christians that like Bush's way of thinking or they like him just for the fact that he prays for help in running the country. And then there are those who think he is doing a horrible job and speak their mind freely.

I think it to some degree it has to do with manner.
If someone makes a statement, and even if I agree with them, but they do it in a rude way I will sometimes give them a thumbs down.
It is unfortunate that so many people find it difficult to express their dislike or disdain without being rude or insulting.

I too agreed with your analysis until the last line. Many Christians really are Christians and believe in love, compassion and helping the weak.
@ G. Lane
It's just a shame that the three media outlets you mention show bias towards conservative agendas. They're just not quite so rabidly reactionary as FOX or as unstinting in their praise for the holy fool.
I'll give you a hint: media run by large for-profit corporations tend to favour those politicians that preach cuts in taxation and regulation, commonly known as republicans.
