How do you feel about the sentence Mary Winkler received for murdering her husband? Do you think she should get immediate custody of her three children back like she is contesting?

First of all I'd like to point out that I'm not criticising anyone who defends them.
I just want to know your honest opinion.
If something else had happened to Madeleine, or her brother or sister, like say she got out of bed, wondered off to the pool and drowned, would you still defend them? They would still be suffering wouldn't they?
Just because someone else had something to do with what happened to her doesn't mean that they weren't at fault.

This is the excuse which the Sheriff gave last week with regard to her release from prison.

Does anyone know what this medical condition is (apart from spoilt brat syndrome)?

I've just heard rumours that the police in Portugal have been tipped off regarding where Maddie McCann's body is buried.

Is this true?

Why would Hurricane Katrina evacuees gut and trash the trailers provided for them to live in? Am I wrong to be angry over these people taking advantage of FEMA and the handouts they STILL receive almost two years after the hurricane? It lends to the opinion that some of these individuals do not want to find jobs and reestablish themselves. It lends to the opinion that these individuals wish to live off of government handouts and blame Bush and anyone else who supposedly conjured this hurricane. Nevermind that millions were affected, and the vast majority have found jobs and reestablished themselves elsewhere. These are MY tax dollars, too. I want to help, but I feel taken advantage of! How do you feel?

2007-06-13 03:23:13 · 28 answers · asked by textkitten 3

do you think this is right? I sure as hell dont!

If someone is castrated chemically or otherwise they are going to vent those supressed feelings into other ways such as violence. While castration may stop someone abusing children or another adult, I do think that more violent people are going to come out of this and I think that more child murders will arise because of paedos frustration in not being able to abuse.

anyone else share this?

For example non-blacks will be racist for saying "N word" but blacks are always saying it and signing it

It's difficult to explain to my sister that she is "different" to others and can't use the "N word" despite regularly hearing it...

What' s the betting another sighting of Madeline in a few days just to deflect, or am I just cynical.

To my understanding there were 9 people that night, 4 couples and 1 single lady. Is it not strange that the other 7 people have managed to keep themselves well away from the medias attention?
Would you not think that they would be coming forward with testemonials and open public support of the McCanns .
Or is it that they are keeping quiet for some other reason?

John Reid is considering this for repeat offenders - but it won't be compulsory...!

In America, several states have compulsory chemical castration for paedophiles - surely this is far more sensible than what we might end up with, voluntary castration?? Nobody will opt for it.

What do you think?

With regards to the online petition seeking the authorities to fully investigate Gerry and Kate's conduct the night Madeleine went missing.

"Last night Madeleine's aunt, Philomena McCann, 48, of Glasgow, said: "Gerry and Kate are unaware of the petition. We haven't told them as they have enough to deal with. At first I was very upset but now I just feel anger towards these people - from all the support we have received they are certainly in the minority.

"They are just adding continued sadness to the whole family. One sick individual has even taken to e-mailing me through the petition every day. "

What makes me laugh is how she wants it to turn into a popularity contest. She says they receive more letters of support so therefore they win. Well it doesnt quite work like that Philomena. If you commit a crime then you should face justice regardless of whether you have 'lots of support' or not.

Have another hamburger there love, that'll make you feel better ..... (sorry cheap shot!)

I mean the people in Palestine should slowly realize that after 50 years of fights with Israel, the violence wont end if they dont start talking with Israel. So why does Hamas get so much influence?

If you go to his blog:

http://www.bringmadeleinehome.com/connect/blog.xml

and read through all his entries for the day its like reading a guide in the Lonely Planet or something.

Not once does he say 'God I miss her so much' or 'Seeing that child today reminded me of the time Madeleine and I were playing in the park.'

Nope instead we are treated to such gems as:

"We were surprised to learn that a 20 seat propeller plane was sent instead of the larger aircraft."

and occasionally criticising the papers for nicking his work.

"... very disappointed that the blog was lifted almost in entirety by one newspaper yesterday after expressly forbidding such an approach!"

Also I knew at the time he wrote this that it was never going to happen and I was right.

"For all trips we are assessing whether commercial flights can get us to our destination and back to Portugal quickly."

As far as I know, they never once took a commercial flight. How convenient for them huh?
