What it doesnt pay for:
Private Investigators
Anyone that might remotely be able to look for Madeleine.
It also helps to pay the tax man, because as they are not a charity they are not subject to the same tax relief (so more of your donation is going straight to the tax man rather than the cause which is another reason to save your money for legitimate organisations).
And finally as the fund is a limited company, any monies paid in becomes the property of Mr and Mrs McCann.

No I have not donated to their fund. I have no intentions either. I already donate my money to 4 deserving charities, which 3 of them are children's charities and the other is for Cancer.

The fund would pay for exactly what it was started for...towards finding Madeleine. I understand that some people are very upset as the media shows the McCanns globe-trotting (i view these as desperate visits) & there are fears that the fund is wrongly being used towards lawyer fees & air fares & such. My take is that the fund is being used towards Private Investigators and this course of action is naturally not being covered by the media for obvious reasons of ...well...being Private. Informing the general public of their use of PIs would defeat the entire purpose in the first place, so i really fail to understand why people (most of whom vehemently oppose the fund & have therefore not contributed) want detailed costings of how exactly the fund is being put to use. Go on...thumb me down...i don't agree with the Superpowers out here...

According to the news this morning a Campaign Manager is going to be selected by Gerry. Kate is going to stay with the twins and settle into a more permanent residence in Portugal. I wonder if they will buy a place out there with the money?

It is unnecessary. That is what police forces are for - to look for missing people. It appears to me that the public have funded several unnecessary profile-raising jaunts for the McCanns. Haven't they got PCs and TVs in Germany, Spain and Amsterdam? Why did they need to go in person?
The only awareness they wanted to raise was their own exculpation and that needed air-miles funds.
Completely disreputable behaviour designed for the McCann's well being, not Maddy's. I thought it was all rather obvious.
