Maybe it is just hardwired into our systems like fight or flight. It is so much easier to get mad than to stay calm. As for changing our addiction to violence, I don't know. Our different cultures have to get to the point where violence and destruction are not justifiable measures to be taken. It would take generations.

Why is there a Culture of Death and Destruction prevalent in our World Today?
In our World today, what do you mean today, its always been there. As long as humans have a brian there will always be differences in opinions, just look at poltics, when nations or other groups of people do not like the opinions of another group they will always be acts of violence. Either through wars or through terrorist acts. since when is it just in our world today ?>

Yes it is evil, just like 9/11 was evil and anyone who would do that must be stopped permanently.
The only thing those people understand is force.
We could ask them to please stop but I have a hunch that wouldn't work. Unfortunately, it takes death and war to stop them. That is the consequence of this kind of evil.

It can be stopped by walking away from religious zeal and the centuries of mental slavery it has enslaved minds with. All of this evil has been done with a religious underpinning. We would all realize on the day we all put that aside, that there is no reason to harm others. Only then will we advance.

Unfortunately this has been from the beginning of time. And with the terrorists now out there we will never end unless given better support by both parties to destroy terrorists and their training grounds.

Are you talking about wars? I heard a quote that goes "You can't have peace without wars".
People have killed in the past and they will kill in the future. We have to deal with it and realize the world will never be perfect.

that's the character of our species to compete against one yet another in the race to apply the ecosystem. conflict and the ever-increasing destructiveness of conflict are the consequence of our skill to strengthen ever greater useful technologies of destruction. it is not liable to alter till a adequate proportion of the inhabitants realizes the survival value of empathy and compassion for others, the two for conserving our species and for keeping our international.
