Kittykat - Yes there are indeed lots of other websites i could be looking at, but I, as im sure is the case with everyone else, am interested in the latest developments with the Madeleine case and want to see her found. I also have a heart and actually WANT to like the McCanns and WANT to support them - I check Gerrys blog daily hoping to see some flicker of a sentence that makes him seem human but no, instead we have daily gems such as this one. I'll keep hoping.

Kittykat - I absolutely agree with you, I dont expect floods of tears, I know that not everybody deals with things in that way and that in some cases it would be of no benefit to anyone for them to do so. I just think that the McCanns are aware that seem people feel they are coming across in a less than positive light but they seem to want to do nothing about this - coming out with these thoughtless comments everyday on the blog is only fuelling the fire.

Faith - in your answer you say that Gerry cant be expected to write a "witty and whacky" blog. Nor can he be expected to pour his grief out for total strangers. I quite agree with both of these points. In which case why the hell is he writing a blog at all? I found the very idea of a bog in his situation quite inappropriate and i dont see how it heightens the publicity in the searchfor Madeleine - its already all over the media and dont see how this helps.

I'm trying my best not to join the lynch mob but really, someone should advise him that what he writes in his blog is at best unnecessary and at worst damaging to people's views of this case.

It just reads as a boring diary, if you didn't know what it was about you'd presume he was some businessman carrying out his day to day work. Obviously he might not want to pour his heart out online, but it then creates the impression that he is cold.

Leading Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has received an anonymous letter containing clues regarding the whereabouts of the missing British girl Madeleine McCann. Police are taking the letter very seriously, because it was apparently written by the same person who last year sent a letter providing the exact location of the two murdered Belgian girls Stacey and Nathalie.Missing since 3 May 2007
The recent letter says Madeleine can be found in Portugal, not far from the hotel room she was abducted from on 3 May this year. It says that she lies buried "north of the road under branches and rocks, around six to seven metres off the road" in a barren and deserted hilly landscape. Crosses on a map that came with the letter show the location of her body. De Telegraaf has handed the letter over to Dutch police who will hand it over to detectives in Portugal. A spokesperson for the McCann family is eager to show the letter to Madeleine's parents. The couple was in the Netherlands only last week to ask for the assistance of holidaymakers who may have seen Madeleine's abductor near Praia de Luz. I hope not but ............

Another stupid comment? You bet.
Here's another from today's inappropriate blog:
"No child or parent should have to endure this experience and we prayed that she would be found safe and well."

Well Gerry, no child should have to endure you and Kate as parents, as kids want Mum and Dad to be there if they wake up at night - not swilling wine at the Tapas Bar an assault course away. Guess what Gerry? If you'd put Maddy first and not a night out you'd not be enduring this experience either.
Well, never mind, I'm sure 3/4 of a million pounds will buy you a few slap up meals and a gallon or two of Pina Coladas.

After what happened to Madeleine I got a shock to hear they left Sean and Amelie behind. What kind of sick parents are they. They haven't learnt anything yet. I have no time for Gerry and Kate. They must be the two most craziest pair ever I seen. I think they are more like stone then human because they have no feelings. You are not on your own and yes it was another stupid comment. Every they say and do is weird.

okay, cant hold it in any longer,i dont watch the news anymore due to this kind of thing i find it upsetting,i have 4 kids and my intuition is really twanging about this there is something seriously wrong with the Mcanns if one of my kids went missing i would be beside myself with grief and worry not swanning off to meet the pope, and then off to Morocco because of a "sighting" whilst all the time leaving their twins behind how can they bear to be separated from them?little Maddie's whereabouts should be the main concern here i hope that she is found safe and well, although that possibility seems more remote by the day,the Mcanns need to face facts that through their own selfish needs for a "quiet dinner" their little girl has either been taken by a scumbag or wandered off somewhere and maybe has come to some harm in an other way,if this happened in England they WOULD have been questioned about the events leading to Maddie's disappearance and probably found out alot more than the Portuguese police have and this whole thing would have been finished,i have signed the petition asking for them to be investigated as a human being i feel sorry for them and their loss, but as a concerned parent their apparent disregard for their children needs to be addressed.

Gerry and his wife will have to live with the fact that they let their daughter out of their sight. The punishment fits the crime.
They really do look like they are enjoying travelling more than anything else and to go and look in a completely different huge country is even more dumb without concrete proof. Please God may I be wrong but the chances of this little girl being found alive are getting slimmer. The campaign is so huge that she would have been spotted by now as Im sure every little Maddy look alike is being scrutinized.

As I keep saying; they have these great PR advisors so why why why why why why are these people not checking what Gerry and Kate post on the website before it's posted? Why are they not checking what is going to be said before any of the family make speeches? They all just come off sounding uncaring, cold, brassfaced unintelligent a--holes.

With PR advisors like that who needs enemies?

Back in Pria de Luz already, they only stayed in Morocco 2 days at the most and as it was the only place with a sighting I would have thought they would have stayed a little longer,Or do they not want to find her and more interested in their profile and the campaign?

i know i said i wasnt going to post any more either but some things get me going. I think its terrible that they have one kid missing and now they are farting about all over europe without their twins. If one of my kids had gone missing I wouldnt let my others out of sight for a single second. I also think they went to see the pope to be absolved of their sin of leaving their kids alone. they are lucky that all three children were not taken. The comment from Gerry McCann about how they were coping and comparing it to being in the red and using your overdraft was unbelievable. I dont know how they can sleep at night.

in reponse to the query why write a blog at all it is to keep people looking at the website regulary and keep madeleines plight ou there and the fact is it works whether people deplore them or not they still look at the website even if it is to have a dig at something he writes
i think the always well looked after comment is letting everybody know they are left in capable hands on these trips of people who love and care for them
