Quite honestly, it reminds me of a compulsive gambler who keeps betting more money every time he loses his shirt. Someone should arrange an intervention.
Addicts use all kinds of rationalization to justify their insanity. The best way to support the troops is to bring them home, leaving only a few to protect the brave soldiers in withdrawl.
