A CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man in Jerusalem who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time. That’d make a good story, she decided.

So she drove to the wall and, sure enough, there was the elderly gent, praying away. She watched him for an hour and, as he turned to leave, approached him for an interview.

“Rebecca Smith, CNN,” she said. “Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall to pray?”

“Sixty years.”

“Sixty years! Amazing! What do you pray for?”

“I pray for peace between Christians, Jews and Muslims. I pray for all hatred to stop and I pray for all our children to grow up in safety and friendship.”

“So how do you feel after doing this for so long?”

“Like I’m talking to a bloody wall!”

I'm a freelancer for a local paper. My latest piece, an interview, was published with many factual errors, which I think she could have avoided if she had checked with me for clarification. Instead, the piece just went straight to print. Should I tell her about those errors, with a request for her to check with me next time? (This is not the first time, but this has been the worst.) Also, what should I tell my interviewee? Should I apologize for the errors and tell her it was my editor's fault?

Billions are lost, if fires are not stopped soon it will hit the coast by early next week. I live on the beach my eyes are burning and my skin is itching my car is covered with ash. Why is this so-called president of ours hell-bent on making humanity suffer? We saw what happened during Katrina, but this president did not learn a thing. Forget war on terror this is clearly a war on the American people!

Why is it that Israel is permited to do what they want with Palestinians and get away with it... I've been on this topic for a few days now and haven't had a single person give me a single solid argument - for or against this... Does anyone have some form of an answer that has some fact? (I know facts and truths are rare in this day and age... "It is safer to live in a dictatorship as you know what the propaganda that is fed to you is. In a democracy, you are fed propaganda and led to believe that you have freedom of choice... I guess Bush and Iraq/Afghanistan was no propaganda as far as WMDs)
My blog speaks about this and I would love to continue this without the stupid time constraints of Yahoo answers...

The people who call in and talk as if they were really a part of the listening audience, but in reality they are working with the producers of the radio talk show and have a set of lines in which to read. Do you suspect certain well-known talk shows of doing this? If so, why are these shows using call-in "stooges" in their programs? Do you believe that there is a connection to propaganda agencies in order to change the way that people feel about particular "issues"? This seems to go beyond mere pandering or working to obtain higher ratings; instead, it appears to be the diliberate attempt to change the minds of people who are under the assumption that what they are hearing is real and not contrived.

One example that I recently read about in the New York Times was the case of Armstrng Wlms., in which allegedly involved the acceptance of over two hundred thousand dollars from a U.S. government organization in order to promote a certain cause.

as an Englishman and owner of many US based companies I feel I must ask this.
I have recently noticed many Americans(on this site) have been nasty towards me and they have even questioned my business credentials.
In stark contrast, the Americans who I own, look upon me as a great leader.
I wonder if the Americans(on this site)are perhaps a little jealous of the Americans I own?

First off, I don't want people to die and to suffer, but I am fascinated by the fires in San Diego. I know when you get down to it, people have been hurt and many more have been evacuated and don't know if their homes are gone. But, when you ignore those things, this fire is fascinating. It's not something I have experienced before (I was in the bay area when the Cedar Fires happened) and I find myself sort of rooting for the fire. Maybe it's an underdog sort of thing; while the fire is massive, it's a foregone conclusion that at some point in the future, it will be put out. I am sure the fact that none of my friends and family (or myself) are threatened allows me to ignore the seriousness of the situation, but what do you think this is about. Why do I keep checking the fire maps to see if the fire has gotten bigger?
