A British National was expelled from Morrocco for trying to bribe locals into saying that they had seen Madeleine. Offering them large sums of money to make statements to that effect. Here's the link supplied by Jack H

Bill McKibben's book "Maybe One" lays out an argument that only by decreasing population can we have a sustainable human lifestyle in the 21st century and beyond.

Should the UN pick up the successful model of China and mandate that for all countries, each couple can only have one child? Wouldn't this have an immediate affect on places like Darfur and Somalia where starvation is rampant?

If the NYT was truly with our troops this should have made page 1 above the fold. He was local, from L.I.. I'm independent in my voting and against the war so there is no agenda. I "WAS" a Times reader...no more.

As an Englishman and owner of many major US based companies I feel I must ask this.
I find the Americans I own to be extremely repetitive. They are always asking the same questions over & over.
Their daily routine is also very repetetive wake, clean huts, work, eat, lights out!
Really boring people!

Now we have an artist's impression of Madeline probably being abducted.

Everyone consider this:

Jane Tanner probably got it right. If you were standing in exactly the place she was, and saw this man with the child in his arms, you might not realise the importance of it. Then you hear that Madeleine has gone! Bloody hell!!

Wouldn't you realise the importance of it?

The police should have got this out within hours, at least within a day or two. But they weren't very experienced were they?

So it comes out now! Bloody hell again!!

Key point here...she is wearing pyjamas very like Madeleine was wearing.

So here we go with a question.......

.........when exactly is the penny going to drop for the anti-McCanns?

Very sorry for the label "anti". No abuse thank you.

Of much of Yahoo! Answers do they already own/control?
Question: Why NO plea to Madeleine's 'abductor'?

Question Details: Kate McCann thinks Madeleine is being held somewhere in someone's house - why no plea to the abductor? Was this interview just more spin to draw attention away from the fact that the PJ inspectors are ready to touch down in the UK. Why on earth would you go to the trouble of telling the world how hard it is for you being without your daughter, yet NOT ask the person who has her to GIVE HER BACK? Don't you think this is a wasted opportunity?? They've already made several pleas? As a parent, we all know the kind of pleas we would be giving to get our child back at EVERY opportunity - I haven't seen this from the McCanns. I certainly didn't see anything that could remotely be construed as a plea last night in the Spanish interview - why not?

Deleted Answer: BECAUSE THEIR ISN'T ONE - THAT'S WHY!

I guess those rich Californians who lost their homes were so devastated they actually had to spend a few nights in their second homes. Must have been pretty tough on them. The rest of us Americans are broken hearted for them.

as an Englishman and owner of many major US based companies i feel i must ask this.
I like a good drink, but I have never been able to get drunk since I moved to the USA.The reason being is that in the USA alcohol/beer is illegal, the American government have allowed a "beer substitute" by the name of budweiser to be consumed. This "beer substitute" is fine for Americans, but i need something a little stronger.Last night I had 29 pints of "beer substitute" and it had no effect.
