I think the us federal banking system is behind pushing the dollar down.
It is good for American exporters when the dollar is weakened. It makes American produced products cheaper on foreign markets and foreign products higher that are sold in American markets

It is cos the USA is spending billions of dollars on a war they can not win and their financial markets are in turmoil.

The British Pound may seem stronger, but you get more for your Dollar in the USA. The UK is very expensive to live in.
