Most news media is geared to an 8th grade level. What is sensational gets attention of viewers/readers even if the view is slanted or purposely censored. People forget that these are not official government sources. They are independent businesses who are out to make a profit. Some times I think we give out too much info. If I were a terrorist I would say thank you for letting me know how to do things better and accomplish my task. We publish what we are screening for and exactly how we do it. Politics always influence what gets out to the public and when. Obviously they don't think that Americans are smart enough to understand global information and make their own decisions. If we did we probably would be more critical of how they are doing their jobs in Washington.

The media (around 80%) leans left and contributes to Democrat candidates. It only follows that they will spin and filter what we hear and see. However, CNN has lost polling numbers every month for the last seven months and is trailing in popularity now. I hope the day comes when we get the facts, and not propoganda.

The media is more engaged in shaping public opinion than it is in reporting the news.

since they are run by the left and are really censors to the real news -- we should refrain (and we are doing it) from buying their product -- we don;'t buy -- they will start doing what we want them to do -- report and let us decide
