Nobody can control Mother Nature. Not even the almighty Bush regime. I feel so bad for all the Californians for the loss of their community and homes. But the firefighters are doing the best they can with what they were dealing with. Fire is unpredictable and max destructive, they couldn't help ANYTHING with those crazy winds. So let's put the blame where it belongs instead of always making everything Bush's fault, seriously. And the blame goes to the cruel side of nature, and whoever that arsonist bastard was that thought it would be cool or funny to start a fire that left thousands homeless and destroyed San Diego. Boy is he in trouble!

Bush didn't cause the fire. The drought conditions, possible arsonists, and lightning caused the fires. This coupled with the fact that houses are built too close to tree lines (thanks to the environmentalists) are the reason why so many people lost so much.
And you gotta have fire insurance. If you don't you need to face the possibility of a total loss if a fire breaks out. Should Bush, the government, or the taxpayers be responsible for paying uninsured homeowners? They chose to skimp on insurance, not Bush or the taxpayers.
Bush has noting to do with this. If you believe he does, you probably also believe that he caused the Titanic to sink in 1912.

I really don't think Bush is "letting" it happen. The fires are out of control and the firemen are doing their best. Some of these fires were apparently deliberately set and the winds are so strong that they can't be controlled. It appears that everything humanly possible is being done to put them out. Agreeably if the National Guard were there instead of in Iraq it would probably be a different story. Hopefully you and your home will be safe. Good luck.

Sorry! But I've about had it with all you guys who think the President of the United States personally piloted the planes, started the fires, directed Katrina, etc. into anything. If, and it's a big IF, he had that kind of power, don't you think he'd do something to get better ratings. Get a life! I'm sorry for your losses - and for all the tragedy that goes on in life - but I do not agree that he's the cause or the solution.

He isn't but no matter what he does good you will say he did not do enough.
Facts show that the local government involved in the troubles that happened with Katrina were their fault and not the presidents!
I feel sorry that you and those in Southern California who are facing the troubles you have with the fire but you have a safe place to go.

How could you possibley blame Bush for not helping?
The only thing that idiot can do is approve federal aid, which he already has. You think he's gonna go out on the front line w/a hose?
The fire fighters, local, and federal agencies are doing everything possible. I just heard that Tijuana and Canada are sending gaurd there to help and deploy more helicopters and more aid.

Since you are the answer man, precisely what would you like him or anyone to do? Come on. Add some details in your answer. If your eyes are burning and your skin is itching and you are worried about your car.... why are you on your computer.?? You must still have power and a home.

You need a life. What do you expect him to do? It is not his fault that it is burning. He is not God and cannot snap his fingers and make it stop. Just like Katrina he did not cause that, nature happens. There are hundreds of firemen out there putting their lives in danger to try to stop that fire, if they can't stop neither can president Bush.

you whiny little pusss, you cant blame this on Bush...do you want him to come with a garden hose and help? The fires are his fault? they are caused by people living where they should not, no rain, too much brush from not letting the hills burn when they should. why dont you blame your governor? or your state house and senate? you poor little california spoiled asss brat! its people like you that are the cause of most of america's problems, take responsibility for your own actions. this is just mother nature getting back at you for being ecologically irresponsible. I'm not sure if you make me laugh or make me ill....possibly both. get a life

First of all I am not a G. W. Bush fan at all, but he allows this to happen for the same reason that he allows rain to fall on us.
Because he has no control over it.
What would you want him to do? And if it's doable, then why don't you do it.
I live in the east and my mind is burning with all of the self centered stupidity that comes out of California.
Cheers.
