I have searched the net for quite a while but cannot get away from the companies who just want you to switch to them and don't answer that simple question. I don't want to switch supplier I just want to know "What is the average charge per kilowatt hour for electricity (pre-pay meter) in England ?"

I've been told several different methods in cutting startings off of my philodendron plant. One person says to cut off at least three nodes down from leaf, another says to cut where leaf branches off and set it in water until roots start producing from it. If I make cut between nodes, does it matter where the cut is made as far as being right above, below, or in between nodes? And should I set them in glass of water, until they produce roots?

Could I put a mattress pad over it to balance the lack of support in the corners, since the fiber bed looks like it is in small squares...if you understand what I am saying.

My kitchen and tile floor are suddenly infested with many TINY gray bugs. I have looked at pictures of fleas, termites, etc. and I can't figure out what they are. They are so small I can't count how many legs they have. They seem to be oval shaped, in a single body segment, and crawl (no hopping, jumping, etc.) They are not spiders, ants, or anything common that I have ever seen before. HELP! 10 points to the best answer, and a million thanks if you can send a link to a pic with this mystery bug attached!

I was looking at the Presto CoolDaddy Electric Deep Fryer. There is someone in our house who has breathing problems and I have been unable to fry for about 4 years. I really miss my homemade fried foods. I really need to know of a deep fryer you have personally used that gives off only a small odor that can be eliminated when sitting under a stove ventilator fan or one that does not give off any odor at all. Please be specific. Thanks.

I received an early "moon festival" gift from a friend of mine. She's Chinese and her house is totally full of tall lucky bamboo.

Her advice to me was to just keep it in a vase full of water. Isn't there any more to it?

I have recently had to pay our local council £88.00 for covenant consent, which will allow me to build a conservatory. My house used to be a council house before a property developer bought the whole street, refurbished the houses and then sold them privately. That was 1991. The council have told me I dont need full planning permission but I will need this covenant consent. Can anyone tell me exactly what this is please ?

My apartment would have a roach maybe once every 6 months. But maybe every other month, a centipede or two would pop up. Why would this be, what attracts them here?? I live in the city, not in a rural area. Do centipedes bite or harm you??? I cant stand it, I would rather have any other creature running around other than centipedes.

We have a hummingbird feeder, and of course, the bees are there. So whenever a hummingbird comes up to get a sip, the bees scare them away. How can I get rid of the bees w/o doing anything to the hummingbirds??

I recently got the most beautiful ficus ever! It has triangle shaped, variegated leaves.

It is looking a bit droopy, probably from the move. However, I really really want this plant to thrive. I think it needs to be repotted. The soil is crusty and doesn't seem good anymore.

What is the best mix of soil and the best light for this plant? I am still somewhat of a novice, and really want to do good by this plant! I do have a ficus elastica that is doing fantastic. But I am nervous, and really don't want to kill this one!
