My kitchen and tile floor are suddenly infested with many TINY gray bugs. I have looked at pictures of fleas, termites, etc. and I can't figure out what they are. They are so small I can't count how many legs they have. They seem to be oval shaped, in a single body segment, and crawl (no hopping, jumping, etc.) They are not spiders, ants, or anything common that I have ever seen before. HELP! 10 points to the best answer, and a million thanks if you can send a link to a pic with this mystery bug attached!

It sounds like you have springtails. I have had problems with them in the past as well. But the good news is they are basically harmless (but very annoying). They are drawn to moisture, so if you can keep the moisture levels down in the problem areas, that will help the most in the long run. I have included a link for more information on the topic. http://extension.missouri.edu/explore/agguides/pests/g07363.htm
