i would rather do it my self than to have pest control come out, because the people who rent from us seem to keep bringing them in, and it is so costly to keep paying a exterm. to come out.

I have just had a phone call from one of my old customers, she has been to London to help her daughter move all last week. She has to come back home with daughter and kids because of the filthy, so called tradesmen doing the work.

The contractor she got sent Polish guys in to do the work, didn't employ English, since then they couldn't bath, or cook and spent two days cleaning floors and running to the tip and so on. The bath wouldn't fit so they were going to cut some off the end. (I never tried that one). I couldn't stop laughing at the antics she said they got up too.

After 55 years as a self employed general builder and a lot of happy customers some who have employed me for over 40 years.
I cannot believe what a state this country is coming too, can you?

From a worn out builder!!!!!!!

My sister lives in Southern Ohio and she has these plain white spiders, white legs and eyes. No hair. And they are the size of your palm and the babies are like the size of a pencil eraser. Ive tried to look but cant find them. They live under her house but every once in a while she sees some babies in her house. Have any idea what they are? Thanks in advance

supplier says gaps are to allow for expansion. Yet some boards are tightly packed together while other boards have noticeable gaps. No expansion left at skirting. The noise from the floor when walked on is unelievable - enough to waken children. Supplier says this is caused by seasons and climatic change and rustic nature of boards! We are able to move some of the boards at skirting by pushing them. When we checked laying instructions there should be min 20-30cm stepping between boards , most of our boards don't have this. Supplier says he can also feel sub floor moving through boards but this was never picked up at survey stage. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

mother, recently passed away and I am the new owner of her beautiful Croton that was my grandmother's.

I do not have a green thumb by any means and I am quite nervous that the plant will die in it's new home.

I water it once a week and have it in the corner of my kitchen near my patio door. It receives indirect sunlight.

Recenlty, the leaves have been dropping off, slowly and I am not sure what to do about it.

It did receive a "shock" a few weeks back when another plant fell on it and kind of pushed it off kilter. Two days later, I moved it to my house.

Subesquently, I put some stakes in it to make it straighter.

It looks healthy so I don't understand why the leaves keep falling.

Any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

We live on the darling downs in central queensland where it is a very hot dry climate. The house we have just moved into has ducted evaporative air conditioning. We have never used this type of air con before and some people tell us to leave windows doors open ect, others say to close the house completely as you do with refridgerated air con and some say a tiny gap is enough? It is just not really cool, and occasionlly gets muggy. What is the most effectave way to use these types of air con?

If that's the case, how to find out the availbility of "auction flat"?
