My bosch dishwasher is acting up, it fills no problem on the first cycle washes for the allotted time, then drains out, at this point it should refill, but doesn't, it still tries to wash but has no water in it, as it fills the first tile i know that the water is getting in there, so its not the inlet or anything like that. It does the same thing on all programes so its not the program thats at fault does anyone know what it is. Have tried a good kicking didn't help. Anyone got any ideas please.

I have an 18 year old 8m x 4m swimming pool and in previous years I have noticed a slight blackening of some of the white tile joints. This year perhaps because it has been much wetter weather, the area of black joints is much much greater and quite unsightly. I presume it is algae build-up and have tried chrystal chlorine and brushing to no avail. How do I eradicate this.

I have a heavy duty 100 ft extension cord and want to buy an electric power washer. I keep reading reviews that say that they can not be used with an extension cord. However, because of outlet placement, I have to. Is there a guage cord I could use?

It's one of those little half-size dishwashers. There's a pool of water at the bottom inside. Not leaking yet, but I'm concerned. What to do?

We have a 4-plex that is currently served with one 75 gal water heater. Each apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. I am not sure if the unit is "commercial" or "residential". About 3-4 people reside in each apt. It is old and needs replacement. Thanks.

I dropped a small siver cross down the drain in my bathroom. Our house is new construction and has plastic drain pipes. I am trying to take the pipes apart so I can get into the trap. My pipe wrench is not quite big enough and can only grab the nubs around the drain and becaus ethey are plastic, they are giving away before I can loosen it. Any ideas? Maybe flexible magnats? It's a very light weight cross :+)

I've been priming (Bullseye brand) and painting (Sears 15-year latex) the house, but I haven't got finished. Now it's October 8, and the unseasonably hot weather is done. For the next week or so, temperatures are predicted to be in the low 70's in the daytime and the low 40's at night. I'd like to finish, but I don't want to have to get on the ladder and do this again anytime soon! Is is getting too cold at night? The paint can says to not apply paint if the weather is going to get below 45, but does that apply to midnight chill, or what? Do you think I can still put paint on, or should I hang it up and wait until spring? Thanks for any help.

We have a son that is going to school for auto-deisel repair and has since purchased quite a few new tools. Included is an air compressor. It is 120 volt compressor but to run it everything else in the garage needs to be shut off including the lights. Also the garage shares a common wall with the kitchen which is wired to one outlet in the garage. My question is, how difficult or expensive will it be to rewire the garage so we can get more power out there to run things without tripping breakers? Can it be done at the breaker box or does it have to have new wires run? Would it be better to run a seperate power line to the garage only? I'm going to leave this job to a professional but was just wondering if anyone has dealt with it before and how much was involved.

I have a tub spout htat is just roached and i need to replace it badly. The problem is...the old spout is about 40 yrs old and coneected way inside...the one I need to install has the threaded portion right at the end of the tube. unfortunately it is not an option to rip out the tile and replace entire tube. Is there a way to cut and rethread the tube w/o opening the wall and removing the tube? Thanks!

I have a old garden tiller that not had much use. When it is stored, the horizonal shaft motor is angled with the cylinder angling down. This causes oil to get in the cylinder. I was wondering if I could turn the motor 180 degrees where the cylinder will be sloping up. If you notice, lots of the plain push mower motors that the cylinder is facing the front of the mower. In past times it faced the rear causing the same problem when you pushed the handle down for high grass

My ex-wife recently rented house in a hurry. Basically she had to move out of the place she was in rapidly. The house she is in now is relatively sub-standard, ants, bad plumbing, slum-lord style. She is refusing to pay rent until the landlord makes some necessary repairs to the house which he refuses to do. I have seen the house and fully agree with her. Who should she/we contact as far as getting the house inspected and written up so he (the landlord) has to make needed repairs.

Some of the electric sockets in my house have stopped working yet others are working. The fuse box is not indicating any problem (i.e. all fuses are still switched to on). Can anyone offer any advice? Should I be checking the wires in the sockets are all still attached to the plates? Why would some of the sockets work & others wouldn't. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.
