CAREFUL THERE!!!
Your "Potlights" have to be UL listed for
installation in contact with insulation, or you
can start a merry little fire with them.
Unless they are so listed, they must be kept
well clear of the insulation, especially as some
of those vapor barriers are flammable.

When you install them, Make sure that there is no paper from the insulation against the cans. The cans should be "IC" rated, which means they can be in contact with insulation. Also look and see if they are State of Washington approved. The State of Washington has guidelines regarding the air infiltration. Recessed cans, pot light cans or high tops can be big energy wasters. This will basically keep your vapor barrier intact. I would not recommend having any plastic or tape and especially not paper as these lights get hot. I hope you have experience with electrical or maybe leave it up to the pros.
