I bleached my kitchen sink which I have done many times but this time this finish was dull when I scrubbed and rinsed it out. I can see steel through very tiny scratches. It is mostly on the bottom on the sink, the sides are shiney. Can I refinish it or "coat" it with something to prevent further damage?

If the issue is only cosmetic I can live with that. I am planning on renting out my house and need to decide if I should repair or replace this sink.

When I moved into the rental property I knew they were going to update the wiring. However;the guy who was hired to do the wiring took 6 month to do it as he only worked so many hours a day due to health problems. My privacy was invaded every day for that 6 month period and the worker would make a total mess of my carpeting and so forth and I found myself having to scrub carpets daily when he left for the day.He also broke several of my items during the work process. He wired the laundry room wrong which resulted in my not being able to use the dryer for about 5 of those months;he left the refrigerator unplugged until I noticed my food was spoiling. Then he ultimately ended up burning down the upstairs when he wired the ceiling fan improperly. It has been a real nightmare. What is my rights as to having paid full rent while repairs and is there a time limit on how long they can takBetween the fire and the wiring;I spent the first 15 month of living in the rental under very bad circumstances

I left my house at 5:45 pm to go to a friend's house. Of course there was a thunderstorm. I got home at 11:43 pm and noticed that the electric analog clock in the kitchen said that it was 7:05 (the analog clock stops ticking whenver there is no power being supplied to it, but starts where it left off as soon as power is restored). The digital clock in the bedroom resets to 12:00 midnight when the power goes out. That clock was flashing 3:47 am. What time did the power go out, and for how long, and when did it come back on?

Just built a new house and have a Carrier- Performance 80. I was always told to save money you need to close the air vents, but it seems like I am turning off my furnance blower due to lack of air. This have been going on for 2 months probably, have I damaged it?? Thanks!

If you can tell me a specific brand name, it would be appreciated. I want to be able to put screws in the material (after it has dried)-- in other words, the filling material should be strong enough to have screws placed though it. Thanks.

Has anyone ever used a Mouse Mover Ultrasonic Rodent Deterrent from Sharper Image? It emits a high pitched noise that plugs into the wall that is supposedly pet and human friendly but repels rodents. I already have a cat (he's getting so used to seeing them that he basically ignores them), I have set up glue traps but haven't caught any and sealed up my house but I still found one in my BED this morning. I have done what ever possible to remove the food sources as well!
So any ideas would be great and any feedback about the noise deterrent.
Thanks

what damage can it do to plumb into hot water, if it takes quite a while for the water to be hot from the source, and the element in the dishwasher is sealed.

I close it and within a few minutes it opens on its own. What causes this? Does the hinge need to be replaced?

Hi, I am considering buying an older rowhome. By appearances (I will, of course, have a structural inspection), the home was extended. Throughout the home, the floor is severely uneven at the point where there was an addition, as if it settled at a different point than the original structure. You can feel it under your feet, and there are some points where the floor has a "twisted" appearance. If I wished to make the house appear and feel level throughout, how difficult would this be? How much concern should I have about the structural integrity overall? Many thanks.

we have a pool that is a bit blurry and it is out of question to empty it as we have strong water retention. We know the reason of the bluriness and have to wait three months so it will go. In the meantime, could I add blue food colouring in the water? Any ideas of how many times per week I could do it and if it will just dissolve after a while and will not harm animals and plants?
thansk for your help
