we have a pool that is a bit blurry and it is out of question to empty it as we have strong water retention. We know the reason of the bluriness and have to wait three months so it will go. In the meantime, could I add blue food colouring in the water? Any ideas of how many times per week I could do it and if it will just dissolve after a while and will not harm animals and plants?
thansk for your help

Check our ph and choline levels. You would have to put in gallons of blue food coloring in your pool and it will not make the water clear. It sounds like you need to put more chlorine and run the filter longer.Get your water tested, a lot of pool places will do it for free.

I used to work at a local swimming pool and we used a product that would "shock" the pool and it usually cleared up within 24 hours. Ask at your local pool supply store.
