When I moved into the rental property I knew they were going to update the wiring. However;the guy who was hired to do the wiring took 6 month to do it as he only worked so many hours a day due to health problems. My privacy was invaded every day for that 6 month period and the worker would make a total mess of my carpeting and so forth and I found myself having to scrub carpets daily when he left for the day.He also broke several of my items during the work process. He wired the laundry room wrong which resulted in my not being able to use the dryer for about 5 of those months;he left the refrigerator unplugged until I noticed my food was spoiling. Then he ultimately ended up burning down the upstairs when he wired the ceiling fan improperly. It has been a real nightmare. What is my rights as to having paid full rent while repairs and is there a time limit on how long they can takBetween the fire and the wiring;I spent the first 15 month of living in the rental under very bad circumstances

I had 125 condos and 55 houses for lease/rental and this is what you should have, will have, to do: I wish you would have taken pictures, documented all the problems you had. I would tell you to now: Sit down and document all the problems you've had with the worker, his name and so forth of course. If you had any friends that saw what was going on, have them document all of it they saw. Then get an attorney. I would suggest you sue for your rent and, the anguish and suffering you went through. You should have never let him in without an express date to finish all the problems, his certification, and why was he wiring, and not an electrician. Good luck

you really had me going...this is a joke right? For no sane person would have allowed this to happen past the first month without complaining or suing the workers and landlord..
