Sears would be the most likely, but they probably won't have the Whirlpool part that you need. Look in the yellow pages under "appliances-parts...." or something similar to locate a Whirlpool dealer that would carry the part. You can also order parts online from places like:
http://www.whirlpool.com/catalog/parts_and_accessories.jsp
http://www.repairclinic.com/whirlpool-washer-parts-gg.htm

good luck!

Sears is the only national chain that would have your Whirlpool parts. If you would like to order parts on line or over the phone and have them shipped the same day I would recommend APWAGNER.COM They are the largest Whirlpool factory authorized parts distributor on the east coast. You can either order on line or call their 800 number supplied on their web site. Yes I did say shipped the same day. Depending on where you live that could mean that you will receive them the very next day unlike many other parts stores including Sears.
It looks like you are looking for a belt. If your lint filter slides in on the top of your dryer there IS a maintenance kit available that includes the belt, the idler pulley and two support rollers(all of the moving parts on your dryer except the motor) and the clips and retainer needed to change the parts. The kit is priced well too. It usually costs as much two of the four parts in the kit and comes with complete instructions for disassembly and installation and reassembly.

charyl, before you buy just the belt, a point for you to consider. did your dryer make a squealing noise or does it thumpa thumpa as the drum turns? if it was noisey at all, buy the whirlpool noise kit for dryers. it has the belt, idler pulley for the belt, and the 2 drum rollers and some clips for $30.00. if you are changing the belt all of these parts are right there and since you have it all apart you might as well fix all of it while you're there. i just did my dryer and what a difference it made, and it was only 6 years old. the kits come with real good instructions and the pictures will show you the steps to follow. it's cheaper than a belt and a repair book. honest, mine is working like new again. i used to sell their parts but they didn't have these kits back then. it's cheaper than buying the parts by themselves and you will need the idler pulley anyways. it only took about 2 hours to do the repair and clean the lint out of the dryer and duct. and i did need a helper for putting the front back on, to hold the drum in place while i did it. i'm just passing on some advice since i just did it over new years. i got mine at the sears parts store near me, they should have it in stock, just call them with the model # inside the door. good luck.

I know that Sears for sure carries parts. That's where my dad got parts when something went wrong with our washer and dryer.

KTB is actual. you're able to try this your self. A temorary restoration once you have accomplished KTB's classes is to place a skinny layer of "Vasaline" around the seal. This a brief restoration no longer a restoration. The seal over the years will smash down and or become stiff in speratic aspects. The vasaline bridges the gaps formed by applying placed on.
