I live in Michigan and have found a leak in my hot tub. Is there any substance I can use on outdoor plumbing that will seal in the cold. The average outside temp right now is mid 40's to lower 50's (on a good day) and alot colder at night.

I really don't want to lose out on using the hot tub all winter!!!

the basin overflows and then i have to wet vac up the mess. my wife seems to be resistant to cleaning the lint out of the drain filter for every load. could i just leave the drain filter out permanently if they only thing being dumped into the basin is washing machine water and dirty water from when i flush the furnace? could either of these things eventually seriously clog the pipes if i leave the filter out?

I have a ceiling-wall corner gap, a space larger than a seam. I thought plaster might be more appropraite in a stairway ceiling area of a 100 year old house. Does plaster sand like spackle does, or should I just gob in spackle and tape?

The builders doing my wetroom have totally screwed up and I'm looking for some evidence to prove it's their fault.

I've had a wedi board put down and tiled on top. The drain for the board has a metal grate which is supposed to be edge sealed. Supposed to be... The water has forced it's way under the tiles and soaked the board which must now be replaced (£400), the wall joining the bedroom/bathroom is 96% damp and the downstairs neighbour has a brown damp stain all over her ceiling.

I need someone, first to tell me I'm right, and second to point me in the right direction for literature or website stating the drain guard must be sealed.

All sensible responses gratefully recieved.

It has been constant for 8+ years without any real increase in use. I had 2 rooms added, although they are not used at all (no power usage or items plugged in). I had my main electrical lines updated to allow more wattage for the house, but haven't changed consumption.

My usage in 2.5x's the previous year, every month, as well as obviously the bills.

After thinking problem of motor not working was fixed with new fuse, it's down again. I had to kill the power because of this awful loud noise coming from the motor every 5 minutes for about five seconds. Actually brushed me back. Relay clicks but no running motor. When I called a repair man over and turned power on a few days later it worked again. Now this morning same probelm. Help someone please. What could be wrong, this is making me insane

Furthermore, even if i press start again it never finishes the cycle. It appears to get stuck in the 'washing' cycle and not being able to complete the chosen program. I didn't buy the washing machine, it was in the house I bought earlier this year so I don't have any further information I'm afraid. I am in the UK, and more specifically London.

It backs onto a sheltered footpath and kids seem to take pleasure in smashing holes in the panels as they walk by. Not to mention the traditional grafitti which has also appeared on the pieces that are left! Killing or maiming them is not an option but any other ideas would be welcome. Repairing the fence is becoming expensive and just seems to encourage them. Every fence in the lane is suffering so it's becoming a big problem. The kids laugh and run away when challenged by anyone. The police can't do anything unless the kids are caught in the act of damaging property. All I want to do is build a fence and protect it from damage. Maybe I should make it iron railings with barbed wire???? :-(

I have a washing machine problem. When it starts letting cold water in, it comes back out the hot water valve and out the hose, leaking out. Is this just because the hot valve is broken and stuck open? Should there normally be backflow of cold back up the hot channel? Or is the likely some other problem like a blockage or something..?

Thanks!
