I need some sound input for this matter: I have to have my HVAC repaired and this is the problem. When I turn it on to heat, the wind blows from the vents but it won't be hot air or heat, it'll be just air blowing. The same goes for the air conditioner. When I turn that on, cool air doesn't come out. What's my issue with this problem and how can it be fixed. Also, I'd like to know the ball park figure on how much this can cost me out of pocket, so that I won't be screwed out by the handyman!

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

my shower faucet is leaking from hot water side through the cold water side. It's too corroded to tell the size. Can't afford a plumber to come out, right now. I turned the hot water off, that's how I know its on the hot water side. They (both sides) have been changed before but they weren't the correct size either. Had a plumber tell me they would have to change out everything behind the wall and that's why I can't afford them right now.

I've changed the bulbs but it hasn't helped. They don't flicker but are very dim, and then suddenly, after time, the unit comes on. Is this dangerous? Should I replace the whole light?

I am going to be closing my inground pool for the first time this year. I watched a company do it last fall, so I have a pretty good idea what to do. However, they had a machine to blow out the lines from the filter to the pool. What can I use to do that myself. I have heard using a shop-vac on reverse, however I don't know if I will be able to create a good seal between the pipe and the shop-vac, or if it is even strong enough. Any suggestions?

The star piece that holds the blade broke off. I ordered a new mandrel housing shaft to replace it, but it appears that I need the blade to create a counterforce to remove the nut at the top. The nut sits just above the pulley. Any ideas on how I can hold the shaft to create 50 ft. lbs of torque to remove the nut?

I am thinking of installing a Flash water heater in my basement to make a little more room for storage.
But I have'nt found a whole lotta info on them verses normal tank heater, I have 2 bathrooms, laundry and a dishwasher, will a Flash system stand up to the load ?
If so what size would I be looking for ? as there are so many sizes and makes.
Thanks for you help.

We have a cabin that gets lots of snow, so we turn the water off in the winter and have to carry water in, which is a drag. Is there any way to keep them from freezing in the winter? The cabin is old and so are the pipes. We're not there all the time, sometimes a few weeks go by when it's empty. Thanks.
