My husband is a plumber and no that won't work. Also after replacing drains with him on jobs i really don't see how in the hell you could poke a hole through the pipe with a clothes hanger, unless the pipes were bad. If they were you could just say that you got know idea what happened, they must have busted on their own. Now if you just knocked off the trap you can put that back on your self. The place where the water goes into the sink is a totally different place than where it drains. So there-for more water will only come out if you pour more water down the drain.

It will not work. You need to tell him what you did so he can repair it or have someone in to fix it.
If you were able to punch a hole with a coat hanger, I suspect the pipe was pretty close to needing replacement anyway. The issue here is that you cannot have a good relationship if you have lies between you. Tell him the truth, and that you are very sorry and afraid he will be angry. (if he is angry a lot then maybe it is time to get out of that relationship anyway.)

If your that scared of your boyfirend that is sad. Is he gonna yell or what? Screw him you should of waked him up and had him fix it., Thats what men supposed to do!

Anyway use a large adj wrench to remove the J pipe remove the clog. As for as the leak the putty may work for a short time I would use some expandable foam to reinforce it. Like spray it on let it tack and wipe smooth just as a sealer. Or if you live near a meijer or a walmart you can pick up a J pipe or broken pipe right now.

Again if he is gonna be meen that is just wrong I am sorry there is no reason for that over dumb things.

No the putty will not work. Say nothing let him find the hole, drains get thin and develop holes normally so your in the clear. Keep it to yourself you don't need a argument over something so trivial.

If you poked a hole in the pipe with a coat hanger, the pipe was in very bad condition and soon to fall out anyway. Probably the reason it clogged was rust inside the pipe. It's not your fault.

Just tell him the truth, and was trying to help.
Buying new parts wont break the bank. But tell him now!!!
Keeping quiet will only make matters worse
If he is understanding he will repair it hisself, then cook him a nice dinner as a way of appolagising and sorry.
if that doesn't work then find a new man!!
There are plenty more fish in the sea

no, plumbers putty will not work. what you need to do is tell your boyfriend it appears that the sink is leaking and could you please try to fix it? If not we may need to run to the hardware store to get a replacement piece for a couple dollars.
