Pipe choices are many depending on both temperature and material being handled. There are common types such as galvanized, black iron, PVC, and CPVC. But pipe is also made of stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic plastics. Industrial applications use all of these (and probably more) to handle chemicals and extreme temperatures.

Probably not. If the fluid increases in viscosity at lower temperatures, larger diameter pipe may be needed to convey it. But it depends on the temperature, and particularly on the fluid.
