Its draining water outside...as it should.. but it also leaks at the unit where the line that drains outside attaches. Its a small Byrant a/c unit for a 800 sq ft condo. Does the humidity outside cause that much condensation?

I ahve moved into a period house with what I think are handmade kitchen cupboards and shelves in unfinished (unvarnished and unpainted) pine. There is also a solid fuel Aga in the kitchen and ineffective extractor fan. There is a lot of grease and dirt that has settled in the grooves and details of the wood on the cupboard doors etc. It is now quite solid and difficult to clean. Has anyone got any suggestions how to remove the grease and dirt without scratching or damaging the soft wood?

We just had our house built a year ago and I have noticed some small cracks in my corners. I was wondering if I just used enough silicone caulk to cover the cracks and repainted would it be fine? Should take care of any more cracks in the corner. Also, our walls are textured and thats why I don't want to attempt to repair them.

There are no adjustments and a new belt also slips. None of the pulleys are locked up or hard to turn.

I would like to know if anyone has used foam installation in their attic of a townhouse. We are trying to stop neighbors smoke odors from coming through the attic wall and seeping down through the bedrooms. Walls are separated with cinderblock.

In CT. He has 3 tenants, and his faucets all leak, and the toilets run continuously. He thinks his foot-valve is bad, because he cannot get more than 40 lbs pressure from the pump. I think the foot-valve is fine, and the pump is bad, or all the leaks reduce his over-all pressure. I want to insist that he fix all the leaks, and have the pump serviced by a licensed pro, and then, and only then the pro can go in my well. I do not want the liability of my neighbor going in MY well, even if he has the right to take water from it? Any ideas?

My central air condition stopped working all of sudden, on the last day of recent heat wave. The outside unit works fine. I managed to determined that the blower of the furnace is not starting. When I turned the fan switch from “auto” to “on”, I could hear buzz from the motor but no air blow. I tried to give the blower fan a spin and it worked! The blower could work continuously for more than one and half hour (I manually stopped it). Right now this initial spin is absolutely necessary for the blower to start.

Any one could give me a clue what is wrong? This is a York unit, about 10 years old.

I have a brand new house and all summer long have had problems with my air conditioner. I was in my attic tonight and noticed that there is cold air blowing hard (harder than it blows out of the vents in my house) out of the PVC drain pipe. The pipe comes out of the AC unit and T's immediately. The bottom portion of the T forms a "U" and then runs Parallel with the ground and goes out of the attic. The top portion of the "T" is open and that is where the extremely cool air is blowing out.

The unit is a 3 ton, 12 SEER American Standard. 1800 Sq Ft House.

We live in a manufactured home that is approximately 13 years old. We have just found out that we have a "50 year roof" but that 2 skylights were not installed properly and are causing leaks. We don't have the money to replace the roof and skylights and cannot get a loan to cover the expense. What can we do to minimize the damage of the leaks? Neither my husband or I have the skills for doing the reroof ourselves.

enclosed part of concrete patio, floor is level. When it rains, water seeps in under the wall sill plate. I used a sealer when installing the walls. Also installed aluminum flashing. when the remaining patio is saturated with rain, water still works it's way in. Is there something I can use to seal between the flashing and concrete?
