Its draining water outside...as it should.. but it also leaks at the unit where the line that drains outside attaches. Its a small Byrant a/c unit for a 800 sq ft condo. Does the humidity outside cause that much condensation?

Too much humidity in the atmosphere. Your ac is working very well. Your line is blocked so it is leaking. Try to clean the line by blowing air with pressure from your mouth or use high pressure air to clean the line

My guess is your drain is partially plugged, and is passing some condensation, and blocking some. If the trap is plugged it will backup into the drain pan(inside the ductwork) and leak out at the easiest place. You should clean the drain line out and all of the condensation should go outside through the drain.

It is just from the humidity in the air, nothing to worry about.

a one ton unit will pull about 25 gallons of water out of the air in a 24 hr period when the humidity is 75 or above .if you can cut the pvc line at an assable area [as close to the unit as you can] blow the line out .and put back together with glue and a coupler .you should be all right

These drains can become plugged up with slime and should be cleaned out periodocilly. If you have a shop vacuum, go outside and suck the drain clean with your shop vac.
