I have a hydrangea that I just bought and planted yesterday. Its in a 10 gallon pot and I'm keeping it on my patio. The flowers are kinda mauve in color. I want to make them blue in the future. How much coffee grounds should I add and how often do hydrangeas bloom. I'm in zone 9 by the way.

Thanks

I want to plant some grass seeds on my lawn, however, I am unsure of how safe or dangerous it is to my dog. If it is indeed unsafe, how long will it take once I plant that it will become safe for the dog? Keep in mind, I have a german shepherd that WILL eat anything in the yard!

I have 2 pots with snapdragons and some planted in the ground. They get plenty of sunlight (all of my other blooming flowers: petunias, pansies, etc.) are blooming wonderfully. However, my snapdragons in one pot have a one or two blooms every 3 weeks or so and the others have not bloomed at all, yet they are growing quite well otherwise. Any advise?

I've seen that it is best to divide perennials in early spring or fall but I was wondering if it was too late (May 1st) now that we're nearing summer temperatures.

I have two watermelon plants and I live in a family of four. How much should two plants yield per summer or do I need more? This is my first time growing them so I am not sure. Thanks and any other helpful hints will be appreciated.

So today I bought two 1.5 qt pot's, small pots, though a decent size for baby tomato's. I put organic soil in to about 4 inches below the rim of the pot. For the "Grape style" tomato's i put the complete package in which i bought at Lowes. It conatined about 15 seeds. then added about an inch or so of soil on top of them. then sprayed the soil with a squirt bottle to moisten the soil. For the "Big Boy" tomato's only put in about 4-6 seeds in a seperate pot. Did everything the same, I now have them placed infront of a window so it can get sunlight during the day, If you could let me know what else I should do, or if I did anything wrong, or even what I should do next, that would be appreciated a lot.
Thanks in advance.

I just planted a Crimson Sentry Maple late last fall '06; then had a normal winter here in Utah. This spring it grew new shoots at the very bottom, but it appears that the rest of the tree is dead....compared to the other one that I planted at the same time which the leaves are all in now. Should I wait it out a while longer to see if something grows, or should I just dig it up and replace it?
