I have two cherry tomato plants. Just yesterday I started to notice a white rimming at the tips and sides of the leaves. Upon closer inspection, the white is sort of powdery and there seems to be very tiny dots of black that almost appear to be eggs of some kind. I live in Northern California (if that helps any.) I was wondering what could I use to rid myself of these bugs without harming the produce or the plant. Thank you!

I have the day off today my 1 year old daughter is out all day with her daddy, I am enjoying the peace but the urges to get paintbrushes out and touch up walls, repair garden ponds, mow the lawn, scrub the kitchen tiles etc are getting too strong! I really don't want to spend my day off doing these things but I cant stop thinking about them. How can I distract myself?

This is on a 6' high fince that runs about 75' on a downward slope. My contractor did this and just put L brackets on the side. He says it will last - but we're in an area of high winds and I'm concerned as it already has some give. Not sure how to remedy it since he's basically done. any suggestions?

In late fall we had an extreme warm spell that caused our plants to start blooming, then it went back to freezing temperature. At that time the rose tree was sprouting about 10 new branches, but now we only have one new branch only 3 inches long. We got this plant last year and we are in the correct zone for it (in state of PA). Is there anything we can do for the tree? It was blooming beautiful last year until it came time to prune it for winter.

I have impatiens planted in hanging baskets, hanging in my screened porch. While the leaves are still there and looking healthy, all the blooms are gone and no more are budding.

Impatiens I bought on the same day in the same store are blooming out front, in the shade in window boxes.

When the roses bloom, I like to cut them and put them in vases. My husband does not want them to be cut. I have told him that you need to cut them in order for them to keep blooming. Is this correct?

My husband bought me one of those lucky bamboo plants that come in a vase like container with water and small stones in it.

Recently one of the stalks of bamboo has turned yellow on the end like its dying. Its not that it doesnt have water and there's still plenty of room in the vase for the roots.

What do I do?

my big beef tomato plant in a huge pot on my balcony is getting taller and WAS getting flowers but some of the flowers wilted but the leaves look green and strong, but the base of the plant the leaves are yellowish green while the new leaves on the base of the plant are nice and green. The top of the plant looks "bored" or not happy but i think strong. I've checked to see if i'm watering too much so i held back and spritz the plant. Whats wrong with her?????

I like to cut it close, with the blade lowered as much as possible. Would raising the blade and keeping the grass a few inches higher be healthier for it? Does it even matter? Whats the best way to keep it green?
