It started out fine this spring. Then the leaves started turning yellow with black spots, so the local nursery told me to spray a fungiside on it. The leaves are still doing that, plus there are hardly any left. There are three new shoots coming from the top, but the stems are to small to support the blooms. Should I cut it back, and let it start from closer to the base?

Help! My house plants have got Scale Insect. I really don't want to throw them out and have treated them once with a spray that then works systemically. I can still see them though - all around the bottom om one of the plants. Does this mean they are dying and falling off. They are horrible!
Can anybody recommend me a different product - and how to use it best. I want them gone. Some of these plants I have had ages and I don't want them to die - please help!

My backyard is about 50 feet by 25 feet. I wanted to rip up all the grass and weeds...mostly weeds, level out the dirt because my backyard is not close to flat, and plant some very attractive flowers and new grass, but I am wondering whether I should shovel out all the dirt by hand or buy/rent some sort of machine that could do that. Could anyone recommend a particular machine to help me remove all of the grass/weeds in my backyard because doing it by hand is going to take A LOT of time. Thanks.

I live in So Or in zone 7 where it gets 2 105 in the summer's hottest &10 degrees-20 as average lowest. I am retired &have decided 2 make my flower beds into bark & shrubs. I am not an artist, have no idea 4 color& detail. I am the farmer part of the flowers. I have it ready 2 get bushes & shrubs, I am on a very tight, fixed budget, & I would like to get Evergreen, non-deciduous for shrubs & plants. I guess I want it all, cheap, pretty, all year,& I can do lots with seeds, but shrubs& bushes cost so much. I do need to at least get started with a plan that includes heighth, color etc. I live in the city on a city lot where my flower beds which are on average about 4 ft. wide, great soil, and across the front by sidewalk and in front of house. By sidewalk they get hot full sun in summer and in front of house, hard spot, they get hot full AFTERNOON SUN (west facing). I also realized today I want something that grows fast Anything average is fine, I dont like them but easier

The tail is furry, looks round, but not longer than the body. It's brown. We live in CT, and have a waterway beside our house. I've seen it swim. It does not seem to be a muskrat because the tail is not scaly.

My dog had knocked over my new tomato plant that was still in its early stages. It didn't get rrepotted until 3 days later. The leaves turned yellow but I plucked them off.

My question is, the plant is still very thin but is budding, and even has a "baby" tomato on it. Should I pluck the little green tomato so the plant can heal itself a bit better or is that hogwash?

I need new sod (St. Augustine) for my lawn since most of the grass died and weeds are everywhere, do I need to clean up the existing lawn before laying the new sod on it or can I just lay the new sod on the existing lawn? I'm not sure how this works, any help would be appreciated!
