I have recently moved a tree from a friends yard to my own. It is a weeping cherry tree and when I replanted it on mothers day, it is still not perky and looks basically dead. What can I do?

This is the 2nd year for it and it is not red. The very 1st bloom is purple. Did they lie on the label or did the clematis turn purple over some soil problem. I really wanted a red clematis. Red is my favorite color. I am disappointed.
Should I try again and buy another one? I just cannot imagine they packed a purple clematis in a red clematis box. I have never seen a red clematis.

I bought one for about $90 bucks or so a couple of years ago and never could get it to start after pulling and pulling on the rope. It was brand new and I think after 2 or 3 times of weed eating with it, I tossed it up into the top of the garage. It was heavy and didnt do a good job buzzing the weeds down. I just fenced in 195 feet of my back yard with chain link and now I need to start weed eating arount it or the neighbors are going to think I am a pig.
What do you reccomend? Why do you reccomend that particular weed eater?

In my backyard, I found many holes about the size of quarters or little bigger and I have never had that before. Could it be an animal such as mice? or is it because the ground is too dry and something is making it automatically? Or a snake?

I just looked at my 3 red currant bushes and I am shocked to see black ants all over them! The berries are all still green and there isn't a red berry in sight. I am worried that when the berries do ripen, I will have the same problem as I did last year. Last year, random bugs, includings ants, stuck their nectar sucking tubes into my berries and sucked a third of them dry! Is there any natral remedy for the black ants on my bushes? I have nver used pesticides on my plant, and I am not planning on starting any time soon!

Hubby cut off several of the lower branches in the past couple years and didn't put tar on the cuts. The whole tree looks dead now with tons of full pinecones on the branches that look dead and the branches seem to be very dry on the ends I can get to, but here and there over the branches are these green small and medium tight cones which I'm sure are the new cones coming in. The tree has to be about 100 years old, or at least 50 years. It was huge already when I got here about 20 years ago. Does anyone know if there is a "resting" period for pine trees? Thanks, Sandy
