I have the day off today my 1 year old daughter is out all day with her daddy, I am enjoying the peace but the urges to get paintbrushes out and touch up walls, repair garden ponds, mow the lawn, scrub the kitchen tiles etc are getting too strong! I really don't want to spend my day off doing these things but I cant stop thinking about them. How can I distract myself?

my god, take advantage! with a one year old and a baby, you won't have time for it after the baby comes.. get to work, woman!

.. or you could take a nap.. that is usually a welcome thing, too.

Best Wishes!

Lol!
Nothing you can do about the urges! All I suggest is you get on and do it because I only had those cravings for one day and that was the day before I went into labour, with all 3 of my pregnancies.
I wish you a safe delivery, (tomorrow maybe!!)

There is no way you eill be able to distract yourself from that. If it is on your mind do it. Usually they say at the last days of pregnancy you get urges to do odd things. It is the way your body is getting ready for labor. Keep busy....you will have the baby in no time.

Dont try to distract yourself.....enjoy it.

This is nature kicking in now and we cant control it - nor should we try - everything these days is so "hi tech" or controlled by the clock and timetables it actually nice to get "back to nature"

The best of luck to you and a safe delivery

I wish I felt like that!!

Go with your instincts, you wont have time in a few weeks and will wish you had done those little jobs!

Good Luck!!
