talkin bout guaranteed analysis for plant fertilizer. If you increase or decrease the amounts of each do you just multiply the numbers or does - say 3 tsp of 0-5-4 just make a stronger 0-5-4

I live in St. Louis, MO. I'm looking for a fast growing, low maintenance, nice looking ground cover for my steep incline front yard. I already have ivy growing up a very large shade tree in the front yard. I would like something that looks good year-round.

Hi,

We have a really bad rabbit problem in our neighborhood. I know that our neighborhood rabbits love marigolds so we won't plant them. Does anyone know if rabbits like petunias?

Any suggestions on how to keep the rabbits away?

Thanks.

I have had my house for ten years and along the garage I have a bamboo plant that I have tried everything to kill it off. Roundup, digging it out, gasoline, etc. does not work. Does anyone have a way to rid this pestering plant in any way. It continues to spread into the yard and is the toughest plant I have ever met to erradicate.

I bought the plant last year at a farm store and it never really grew. I thought it went dead and when I walked out back today was pleased to see it is starting up the trellis and is about 1 1/4 ft tall. Its a red one which personally I have seen purple and pink, but never a red clematis. What is the best way to care for this little vine popping up? Should I put some fertilizer on it and what kind? I read somewhere that clematis loves soil which has had lime put on it. I could be wrong though. What can I do to make it grow or should I just leave it alone and be careful not to mow over it and look again in a month or so? Do they like water?

I have a decent size spathiphyllum. I water and fertilize (nitrogen based liquid fertilizer) regularly and it generally looks happy, but I can't remember the last time it produced a flower.

Anything I can do to encourage it? Should I be worried?

Thanks for your input.

We have put steel wool into the already pecked holes. But what can be done to keep the woodpeckers away in the first place. I really can't put a pesticide on it b/c that would be bad for anyone on it. Please help I'm at my wits end!!!!!!!

Hello my 7 year old son grew huge giant pumpkins las year ( he got a green blus peter badge for them!), he kept the seeds and is growing lots more this year. However we are planing to move house this year and I was wondering if we can put the plants in big pots instead of the ground and then take them with us if we move before the autumn. He has also got some sunflowers can he grow these in pots? please help as he will be gutted if they die or we have to leave them behind.
