I don't know what to do. No flowers will grow in my flower beds anywhere. I live in louisville kentucky. My dirt? My neighbors have the same problem on both sides of me. The first year I moved here I spent 300 on flowers and as soon as I put them in the ground they didn't last long at all. I really need help!

I am growing jalepeno plants from peppers I picked in a garden. The buds bloom, but then die quickly. I have about 6 plants in a pot. I do need to re-pot them. Just wondering if the pot is too small for them.

I live in Bangalore , India. I have been trying to grow coriander and mint at home for the last 6 week unsuccessfully. The Coriander seed never seem to germinate in the soil and the mint cuttings (got from the grocery store near by) wilt and never root in the pot…

Can you please tell me the right way to grow there herbs.

I wanted to start it inside so I put it in a meduim sized pot with potting soil. I covered up most of it except for like the top inch. I water it regularly but it is not growing at all. What do I do? Put it outside?

I would like to get away from using as much as possible on my lawn as well as not wanting to have to use much water but still keep a half decent lawn throughout the year. I read about native grass but not where to find it and if it can just be added to the lawn that I have to thicken it up.

i live in an apartment and i have the pool out on my very large deck.. i have read the lease and the is no rule against it and my landlord is pretty cool about stuff..... i am not going to fill it all the way up.. i just want enough water where my 8 month old daughter ( with my supervision) can splash around. maybe about 6 inches deep of water..... i will not leave her unattended. but want something she can play in because she loves the water.. my question is how do i keep the water fresh other then covering it to keep bugs out and the water warm..... i dont want the water to get slimey where i have to keep filling it and wiping it down... is there a small amount of chlorine or some thing i can put it in?? and not to have mosquitoes breed in it?

The front of my lawn use to be an old road bed about 50 years ago but then they moved the road and just planted grass. However when it rains all the water goes into the middle of the lawn and all the soil is mostly sand so alot of my lawn is weeds or crab grass and its getting worse, no matter what I do nothing helps. I was thinking about putting a few inches of gravel down on my lawn and then a layer of soil and replanting. What do you all think?

For some reason the past two years during the spring and summer months of course, our yard is just infested with gnats. We can't go out to enjoy the weather, that's how bad they are. Is there anything we can put on the grass to control them?

The seeds are for a flower called a Bachelor's Button. I followed the directions on the back of the seed pack, as far as depth, water and warmth..... and it said that they would germinate in 8-14 days. it's been over 21 days and there is still no signs of green.

Should I wait even longer? I'm tempted to dig up the seeds to see if they are growing roots or just dried out or rotting....

My Marigolds are coming up fine. I could just plant more of them, but I don't really want all the same things in my window box.
