The seeds are for a flower called a Bachelor's Button. I followed the directions on the back of the seed pack, as far as depth, water and warmth..... and it said that they would germinate in 8-14 days. it's been over 21 days and there is still no signs of green.

Should I wait even longer? I'm tempted to dig up the seeds to see if they are growing roots or just dried out or rotting....

My Marigolds are coming up fine. I could just plant more of them, but I don't really want all the same things in my window box.

I would try, as you say, digging up to see if they are rooting. Just do one tiny area, so you don't affect them all if they are indeed rooting. I would say try planting them again if they are not rooting, cause they are a pretty hearty plant, and should germinate just fine. Gotta keep them watered during germination, but you probably already knew that. good luck

Some seeds that only started by sowing into seed starter mix. This list is not a complete list, only the seeds I have had experience with. Aquilegia, Hollyhock, Impatiens, and Bachelor Buttons.
