Unless you run over a bunch of sticks or pine cones or rocks or something, once a season is plenty.

I have about an acre to mow, with lots of pine cones and branches I regularly chew up and I try to do mine about once a month. I can tell when they get bad because they don't cut cleanly, the ends of the grass looks raggedy instead of nice and clean.

when the mower does not seem to cut all the grass or leaves some bent over but not cut..If you find you are cutting the grass more often. If it gets hard to cut the grass. If you are finding weeds and stuff are not cut the first time then you need to think about removing the blade and sharpening it or just replace it about every 5 years.

oftentimes interior the late wintry climate. on the top of summer I honestly have had my fill of backyard mowers, hoes, weeds, grass seed, compost, etc. and as quickly as the grass stops actively turning out to be and the wet season starts (October interior the Pacific Northwest), i'm completed with each thing outdoors aside from raking leaves. i take advantage of a push mower -- stable exercising, no gas required, no pollutants, do not might desire to have my blood stress flow off the charts attempting to get the difficulty began after six months of idleness. The grass keeps to be the place it falls till there is a superb form of it and then it is going into the compost bin.
