Your budget is a big consideration. If it allows for terracing, that is a good way to plant and make pathways. Winding dry river bed, with plantings all along the winding edges and a winding path beside it!

You can plant a lot of creeping phlox. They spread and like to climb on banks. They stay green all year round and get pretty flowers on them in the spring time. You should put plastic down and mulch or rocks depending if they will roll off the slope or not.

ok well if you want alot of work you can railroad ties and fill it in or if you want to keep the slope then iris is a good plant um I'm thinking for sun or shade buy some bushes for the erosion prevention tigar lilies um hosta plant them in large numbers they come back every year good luck

terracing and retaining walls are good ways to deal with slopes.. add in interesting bed areas with trailing plants and shrubs over the walls for a hanging gardens effect..
