I really like humming birds and would like some advise as to what kind of plants, flower or other feeders that would be most helpful in attracting them. Thank you for your help and support. Mary

I have a small bed of daylilies that is full of bermudagrass. I want to get rid of the weeds without hurting my lilies. I know chemical control should always be a last resort, but I've tried pulling the grass out and it just comes back everytime. Is there anything on the market that is labeled safe for daylilies and readily available to the home gardener?

within 2 days, my tulips have wilted terribly. I brought them outside to see if they would perk up but haven't yet. Should I hurry up and plant them in the yard or should I wait to see if they turn brown and plant the bulbs in the fall?

I have a lot of flower pots on my patio, but I am a rubbish gardener. The only thing I can grow are marigolds, which I sowed two weeks ago, but some animal, probably a cat or a bird keeps coming and digging in the pots, (not all of them) it makes quite a mess apart from the fact that it mucks up the possibility of the seeds from germinating. How can I deter this creature please?

I'm interested in the inexpensive trends. What flowers, bushes, etc. are hot and appropriate for Michigan? What flower bed borders are hot? Brick? Stone? Wood? Thanks!

This is a serious question because I really don't know. If I want to dig up a space of my yard, I use a mattock or a shovel. I even have clay-filled soil that can get moderately hard, but it's just a little bit of sweat, so I don't mind.

What's the advantage of using a roto-tiller?
